actually yes when the track is closed for maintances they do work on it they reface the jobs and fix what ever they need.
They have it closed every other weekend so it would give some other track a chance to race with a good, crowd. WIth the trcak bveing closed the for maintance the days they do have races bring in alot more people then it were if he was racing every other weekend. It's ahrd to explain but i understood it when i heard it.
Also the only ones that charge $10-$12 are the one up north geaogia, it has always been $20 bucks for trcaks that were around lville, i believe griffin was like this and savannah, Warner robins to.

I think lville and savannah. griffin closed cause he was tired of running the tracka nd want to do more racing then running one. Warner Robins was in bad area and didn't really have much of a chance from the get go. Loganville still is going strong.

Well see that's where your wrong cause i don't own it. How could a 17 year old even afford that??? I help spread the word. i help with the maintence on the track. I by no means own it! We have a good crowd every other weekend when it is open.

Some people really can't see past the end of their noses!.......have you considered that just maybe the cost of the land that tracks are on may have different values or some may be on land tracks own or lease. There are different scenarios for every track.
As for Loganville they lease the land, pay power and water, have maintenance costs, etc not to mention the thousands of dollars spent before the first race was even ran. So Chris probably did the math and decided that 20 bucks is what he needed to charge. If he makes a couple of dollars profit that's good, chances are he probably just breaks even.
All this criticism and complaining is what discourages track owners and closes tracks.

I agree Bob. I don't see how any track can stay in business by only charging $10-$12. People seem to think nothing of sinking thousands of dollars in their equipment and then quibble over a $7 or $8 higher entry fee to race. I'm not begging for track owners to charge me more but I would like to see them make a profit so they can stay in business. I think most track owners start a track to begin with just because they love the hobby so much, they charge very little so they and their friends can have a place to race but in the end they have to close because they can't afford to do it anymore. Just think about how much everything else costs in RC, that 7-8 bucks wouldn't even buy one tire to go on a buggy or truggy yet most racers have several sets of tires in their pit box. Sorry to butt in on your offroad thread, I just had to put in my .02.
