I was going to RCRC in Hunington Beach, CA in 1989. I used to ditch school after lunch to practice at the track. I was at a red light in front of a high school and some jack @ss on a moped pulled out from the HS and rear ended me (1984 Mustang GT). Then he took off down a side street. I tried to chase him, but he went down an alley that was too narrow for a car. Only scratched the paint, but it was a GT, so hitting it should be a crime punishible my death. So, the following week, I pulled in to the HS parking lot and found a red moped with white paint scuffs (my GT was white) on the front fender. I put sugar in the gas tank and slashed the tires and seat.

Here's something strange. I keep going to HobbyTown and get some really odd information from the staff. Things like "People don't make their own battery packs anymore." and "Reciever pack/battery?!?! What's that? Oh, they don't make those. They never have."

The strange part is that I keep asking them questions thinking they're going to give me a logical answer.

Thats a lot like when i went to radio shack last month. I asked the guy working the floor what resistor he thought i might need if i was running a 5v LED with a 9v battery. He just gave me a blank look and said "Resistor?"

Everyone else must have broke or piled up in the first turn. I'll bet his lead didn't last more then a lap or 2.

Mike, do I really have to do this? You know most of my racing history and you know a BUNCH of strange things have happened. Most are even funnier than when I was captured in Iraq...that's still a classic and gets'em everytime. Which one you want first.

In the summer of 1986 I raced a Big Bear in 2wd stock. I literally ran over Dion Potters Hornet. We have been the best of friends since. I think George was there to see the horrific event unfold.
