There's no need for two threads. We need to keep everything about the March 2nd race in the one thread that was already created.

Besides, all these issues have already been addressed in the other thread.

Because no one would state what I was asking. And it seems like it is gonna be disorganized, but i'm not going to cry about it and not show up. I will be there.

The practice schedule won't take but a couple of minutes to create on Sunday once we see how many we have for Nitro and Electric.

There will be controlled practice! Count on it!

Well....that may be a little premature on the schedule. Maybe it would be better to wait and see what classes show up.

There's a few thing that will affect a practice schedule:
1) What time will the track be ready for practice. First it has to be blown off and I'm bringing the sprayer to sugar-water the track.
2) There’s the potential for 3 times as many nitro's as electric, so why should electrics get equal time. That's not my opinion but is a point that some may have.
3) Are we cutting the track for electric T/C's? If not then I don't see why nitro T/C's and electric T/C's can't practice together and 1/8th and GT's practice together. That may be a more equal split of the cars and size running.
4) What about mini coopers? Should they have their own time?

So what we have is club race where we don't know who or how many. If this was a race where we had pre-entries it could be done in advance.

Regardless....it will be organized and controlled!

Bob... I think there will be more than 15 people to run electric on this Sunday.
Most of them are coming from the carpet season. If you look back when we went there for electric series in 2006, this electric group was big.
But who knows, we will see on Sunday.

BTW...based on the GO-RC sign up, there is pretty equal nitro vs electric.

Electric Racers: Do you want to use the entire track or use the cut-thru to shorten the track?

The turn at the end of the track is a lot less dangerous than simply having the end of a pipe to turn around. I remember practicing a few times without the cut-thru. I thought that it was much easier to judge the turn at the end of the straight compared to the cut-thru. It also gives the mod guys a chance to really get moving!!

Just my 2 cents.

Shaun, we ran a revised cut-through last Summer. It was very good for both Touring and Mini.
We can have a flapper at the end of the pipe on straight away. What do you think?

A flapper of some sort would be good. Make it a bright color!! As long as it doesn't require too much work to change it back and forth, it sounds good to me.

are you sure its a good idea to pair 1/8th with the GT cars? the GT cars can use the 1/8 as ramps. I found the gt cars to not be a whole lot slower than the nitro TC's around the track

The GT's are in fact a 1/8th scale car.... think of the damage they could do to a 1/10th TC!
