So after some delays the p401 has arrived. I haven't opened her up yet tho. Waiting for little ones to sleep so I can grab video. I will say it came well taped up with a wrapping to hide contents.and I like that. Very excited to bring more news. And a shout out to Robert at gearbest for giving me a chance. Ty and more to come!

Put the p401 to use yesterday. And this is what I have found. In its rtr state it performs ok.but mine wasn't rtr out the box as stated.the motor was missing a mount screw, missing rear screws on front chubs.transmission also wasnt screwed down all the way. So after unboxing I spent a couple hours looking over truck and finishing assembley.the servo is weak like most rtr.the tires provided are to big as well.they rub bumpers and body .according to the box the p401 should have leds with it and mine didn't. Now yes that's some negative.but with a few mods and better servo it will be a decent trail rig. Needs 1.9 tires, real servo, and oil filled shocks. I feel with those mods it will perform as well as an ascender does.as a matter of fact I might go as far too say some design characteristics were borrowed from it.it does have a2 speed trans. But manual shift out the box. Tx does have the shift switch is up to buyer to install shift servo. The truck was designed for scale appeal.I really like the body and rack/light bar.
I will be running again very soon with smaller tires to see how and if it improves steering. (Huge rtr tires don't give much turn radius).
