Huh! Well I also run 8th scale as well as 10th. Was really looking forward to running at the trip like years back but guess not now. Dictatorship is apparently already in place.

I don't see the point in saying the track will not cater to 1/10. Making a track 1/10 is not that hard. Add in a few smaller humps between the 1/8 jumps and there you go 1/10 friendly. As far as making the track smooth i don't think that need to be done. 1/10 ran on a wet loom track in the past why should all tracks have to be concrete? Put on a bigger lug tire and have fun. i Run 1/10 and 1/8. 1/8 is the class that i run more often. But to have a track that's close i could run both i would be there every weekend to run.

All so is there not a race coming to that track next year for the Central Florida off road series? They run 1/8 and 1/10.

I will be at the track the week of the race all week long getting it ready if anyone would like to help. There will be a layout change in the near future but I would expect it to be very similar to what we have now. Triple Nickel is dedicated to 1/8 scale racing so our tracks will be geared toward 1/8th scale....with larger jumps and rougher terrain. We are not interested in entertaining 10th scale racing nor will we be building any "10th scale friendly" layouts although 10th scale is welcome to come and run on the track if they like. If it is too aggressive for anyone I would suggest trying FZRC, SS, Beachline, OCRC, Daytona, Shiverville, Coral Springs, B&B, Lake Park or Deans which are geared more toward 10th scale. We will also be closing in the announcers booth soon as well as adding some more RV outlets and hopefully some more lighting. Hope that answers all your questions.
What's funny is, the guy that asked, runs 1/8 scale... does not seem like he's too keen on doing so now... But that wasn't even a part of the original question.

Not sure what the 1/10 scale rant was all about.

I'll pass thanks....

Polk County Off Road RC Club is still in place Sean, Myself, Ben, and Shook. What I was saying was 10th scale is welcome to come and run here just we will not be toning the track down. There is plenty of tracks that are toned down around here. Yuppers was supposed to be the local 10th scale track which would've worked out great together, but someone couldn't keep it together. When I agreed to re-do the track Matt was leaving and Shook and Myself agreed to help Delaney. My end is the track work, Delaney is the $$ guy and the communication with the city, Ben Burtle will be your race director, and Shook is in the background laughing loudly. I go down and stay at the track for a whole week to prepare it for any race free of charge. The original club was all 1/8 scale guys, we all agreed to keep this as 1/8 scale venue. The track is going to have a few changes this week to make the turn marshaling a bit safer. No long debate here. You guys are all welcome to come and race. There was some really good 10th scale 4wd racing as well as 4x4 sc at the Force race. Hope to see ya all there!

Practice Friday after 10 am. Saturday registration closes at 9:30 am, drivers meeting 9:45 and racing starts at 10. Classes must consist of enough cars to cover 6 marshals. Track is getting a facelift this week. Gonna be killer!

Default Racing again?

I heard that they're trying to get racing again in the near future.

Default Track Layout

Was a new layout being worked on or just fixing up the current one?

Good afternoon. I'm in lake placid. This is the closest 8th scale off road track to me. I hope it gets going again. I know there was a track day. I couldn't make it out. Does anyone know when they will be trying to hold their first club race? Is their a better place to post to get answers quicker?
