Actually I just realized that running anything that Gagliardi works on could be a mistake...

I am not going to be able to make the 1st race due to being out of town for Easter. My ROAR membership expired can I renew there?
Someone snap some pictures of the track after the race at least lol. Coming from Jax wont allow me practice time so mental prep for me lol.

Planning on running sportsman stock since I have never raced anywhere besides Jax and the same 5 or 6 people so no idea how my skills really are.
Skipping my points series here to run there so ALL help is appreciated
I have a Xray T1R so tips like traction of the track and layout helps out alot...gearing...one-way? diff? etc.

Thanks for any info and trying to talk a couple of guys into coming with me.
edit- Power is available there right? I am assuming need to bring a table and stuff?

i dont run an xray, but lots of people do and most run a final drive of a 7.55 with either a diff or a spool, the diff would be slightly tighter than the rear diff

traction is excellent and stickum seems to get the most out of the available traction

you do not need a roar membership to race here but im sure they can arrange help some how

yes bring table, chair and extension cord and ur all set

Default 7.55 final drive?

Mark, That final drive of 7.55 is that with a stock motor, and if so what would you want with a 19 turn? Also what do you run as far as toe-in (both front and rear)? shock oil? etc.
We haven't raced TQ since last winter, how's the suface compared to Strickland?

It depends on which 19 turn motor ur running as to its gear ratio, for a c2 its about the same as a stock or so ive been told. for a reedy quad meg or the orion element its somwhere around a 6.0. as for basic car set up, start with what u run at superior, it shouldnt be too far off i run 2 degrees toe in in the rear and about 1 degree toe in in the front

the track surface hasnt really changed, they just use VHT now which gives alot of traction

New92

My wife is working the April 2 weekend, so I'll have the boys with me and we'll be planning to come down and race. This will give me chance to test the track for the state race and have an idea of the run line for Focar oval race. HINT HINT...:-)

You think the other guys would want to come also? It might be another J'ville invasion LOL

Default Racing without $$$$

We have a couple of old C2 motors and a pittman. I'm trying to retro-fit some 2 degree pro/pro2 rear hubs onto Chip's pro4. Perhaps a thinner shock oil as well and a softer front spring?
Looking forward to running TQ again!

RCGEN,
the more jville people we get, the better, hopefully all of you guys come down for some short track racing

BST,
thinner shock oil will make the car roll faster and only put softer front springs on if the car needs more steering, for the c2's, start around a 7.5, it should put u about where u wanna be

What's the difference between sportsman and expert?

Also, whats a good spring and brush combo for the reedy 19t?

And one more, where do a brushless system fit in? Stock, 19t or modified? (novak bl 4300)

sportsman is more for beginners and expert is for people who race alot and are fast

for my reedy 19 turn i run purple on both sides for spring and i just run the reg trinity e brush (4499)

im not sure about the brushless, u might be able to work it into modified if they fix ur gearing, but ull have to talk to TQTim about that one

Sportsman for me then lol. More than likely stock, but possibly 19T need to think about that one. I looked at the pictures from last year's state race....with what looks like concrete outside walls I am thinking stock for sure lol. Or either making a run to Superior a few days before to stock up on steering blocks and C Hubs lol.

the concrete is only on the side of the track by the drivers stand, and unless u really really mess up, u probably wont hit it and TQ has alot of xray parts in stock
