Yes!!! That's great news...love the 17.5, 10.5, and open mod separations. Great to have an extra qual on Sundays, so i guess 2 day racing is still the norm. And heads up for everyone that's cool.

Great job and I'm sure these changes will be a step forward...hopefully ROAR will follow

Yes, heads up qualifing(as opposed to ifmar) but not qual points........so you can get a good day of racing in on just Sunday with two qualifiers and the main!

So for Trans Am are we running 17.5's or 21.5's?

I'm glad to see these rules being adopted. Coming back to RC and having never really raced, the VTA rules really appeal to me. I have a 13.5/Lipo setup in my HPI Pro 4 at the moment and it's a bit faster than i'm comfortable with. Getting my feet wet with a 21.5 makes me less nervous about my skills.

Personally, I'm a little torn about the TA class. I'm glad to see some structure brought to the class with a clearly defined set of rules, but don't think the cars were to fast for the tracks we race on. But I seem to be in the minority so we'll see how it goes.

I think the biggest problem with the class is some of us wanted to actually race while others wanted to bash. I propose to those that plan on running the class to try racing. Its why we set up heats and have timing. Lets leave the bashing for practice. Maybe I'm coming across as to serious about this, but it is how I feel.

I suppose the rule changes for next season will be posted on the FSEARA site soon so then the debating can really begin.

I agree 100%, but I'm glad I kept my Mazda body cause I guess its time to pick another class. Not that I run the series but it seems Superior and other tracks follow the rules of the state series and I refuse to buy a v-6 to put in a vintage car that comes with v-8's.

if you wanna be so realistic about it, running 21.5 or 17.5 motors is still too fast in 1/10 scale to its 1:1 real cars Think about that.

Nascars can barely hit 190mph in real life, and these VTA 1/10 cars are hitting close to 32 mph on the straights which is around 320 mph in 1:1 full scale

Dave, The rules are more about getting more people into the class, and making a different experience... While the cars/tires can take the power, and you can wheel them.... does not mean that a majority of people can. Ultimately it is about getting a lot of people into the class, and having FUN... We have 3 other classes to be ULTRA competitive in....

I agree the beating and banging got out of hand this year....

Let's race..and have some fun... The fast guys will still be out front.... Beep Beep....

That was a sarcastic comment not realistic, but if you want to talk about that, when nascar started running over 200mph did they put smaller motors in them?? Thats comparing apples to oranges. Obviously there were more guys that wanted this class slowed down and it happened, no hard feelings here, because as stated above, there is always other classes to run.

I'm glad to see the rules finally laid out. I completely agree with Dave and Jonathan but at least there are finally set rules. I will definately run more races next season since I can come on Sunday and still get two heats and a main.

I'll sure miss that Camaro body it looks soo cool.

Ok, from the inside looking out, give Troy, Dave, Tony, Ed H.... a car thats slower and watch how many more laps they will put on people, if they continue to run the class. Again, like everyone has said, its about having fun, some like doing it slow and (my opinion) boring, and some like it semi-fast and on edge. Either way the guys voted, trans am is slower for the guys who wanted it this way so have fun.
