Well there was one on city property but the city closed it down.It wasn't from lack of people using it either. There is supposed to be one in the works - drove by there today.I did not see anything but it will be built. The person responsible runs 1/8th nitro and is interested in hosting major races there. He's got the experience because when he lived in Arizona his family hosted a nationals. When it's done it will be posted. If you live in Jacksonville I can give you directions on where it is supposed to be built. US 1 and 295 go north 1.2 miles on the right.

Saw the off-road track that's being built today. It might be open by Oct. 4th. It's 130x10 with a cargo container trailer that will be the computer station and snack bar with the drivers stand up top. There will be pits at a later date and power (not sure when). It's easy to find but the closest hotels are about 7-10 miles away.If you need directions there are several ways to get to the track.

130x100,and it will be a ROAR santioned track. They do have experience running big races - Regionals and a national when they lived in Arizona. Also a former region director (Debbie Keeton).

They held their first race today.I've never seen 1/8 th off-road before and was impressed with the triple jumps. The turn marshalls really have to be on their toes.Nice track and it's not really finished yet.

They will be racing every Saturday afternoon. They are fixing the track for the 1/10th electrics to run.

Bullfrog,

I live in Arlington so I would probably come down 95 and then north on 295. I'd have to look on a map to see where US1 intersects though. I'm on the other side of town though but I would definitely come and check it out. What time on Saturdays?

If you live in arlington go across the dames point bridge. You'll pass over 95 and it's about 15 miles to the US1 exit. There are two exits for US1 take the first (North) and about 1.5 miles on the right is the track. You can't miss it as it is behind a chain linked fence next to the road with a Sea Land trailer as the drivers stand. If you go to the Gate gas station you went to far.I would say if you showed up to race around 12-1 you should get some practice before they race. The name of the business is Speciality Recovery (Systems?).
