There's some numbers that don't match to my spreadsheet, also 90-110* of roll per G is a mistake

My spreadsheet outputs around 2.2Hz for ride frequency, without roll bar stiffness, with it maybe around 2.5Hz for a TC6 and I think my DETC has around the same (and so other contemporary TC cars). Seeing around 9Hz in RC3 makes me wonder what's going on. I think the ride one is too far away and the roll one a bit on the conservative side.

Thanks to many people for getting me some help on getting a replacement chassis for my D10. John from VBC got back to my and said they were airfreight to me I'm expecting it by the end of the week.
So thanks Gary for pointing me in the right direction.
I built my D10 to race in the VTA class, VTA tires are taller than TC tires by several mm so I was having problems getting below 5.8mm ride height. I did some testing over the past weekend and the track was slimer then normal and the car drove pretty good despite the ride height and slick conditions.
I made 7 or 8 runs changing roll centers, gearing, I was able to get to 1 second of my regular VTA car. About a. 5 of the fastest VTA time of the day. The car turned consistent laps I thought it was the second fastest VTA car testing.
I cured my ride height problem and gained some suspension travel but I had to change to X-ray big bore shocks it allowed me to set the ride height at 4.8mm if I wanted too. I am going to race this weekend L am very much hopefull by raising my roll center of the lower arms and a lower cg of the suspension will make this car competitive as my Awesomatix car that I have 3 years in work to get it to work as good as it does.
Edward and the other racers that are discussing suspension geometry could you break the information down to suspension geometry for dummies. I really want to understand the information and how to apply tag information to improve my cars handling.
Thanks once again.

Here's the complete suspension setup I've created on RC3 for those who wish to try. This setup should make the car fairly neutral in its handling.

Give it a try and see how it works.

I would love to try this setup but I need to know how to process the information that those diagrams are trying to tell me. I guess I need the remedial class to get caught up.lol

If You go to a local workshop and let them remove 1mm each side of the diff, then its possible

Are you measuring frequency in the same way? Even with Yokomo black springs on my destiny I only get down to 7.45Hz on the front.

I don't know how RC Crew Chief does it but it has to be different. All TC models are 7Hz or higher.

It can be the opposite of what I've done, instead of calculating chassis frequency it calculates wheel frequency alone. I just did that change in the formula and frequency jumped to 5 something Hz.

Just a brief update on my d10. I've run it at a handful of events and a few practice night's now. Not a single broken part even after some impressive crashes. The car is fast out of the box with kit springs on black and grey carpet. I suspect it will get better once i install some more shims under the suspension mounts to raise the roll center to reduce roll.

Hi Guys,

Sorry if this has been asked before but I am after a setup sheet for a low traction outdoor surface. I run the car in 21.5.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Cheers

RCMADMAN - Let me know how it works. You might need to change the springs depending on the track conditions.

Edward I tried this setup today and that is the best that this car has handled. I started with my regular setup and turned a 15.8 on a large medium grip outdoor asphalt track. After the race I stuck around and changed my setup to match what you posted, within 3 laps I was able to turn a 15.7 followed by two laps at 15.8. The area I want to continue to work on is rear grip, I need to get rid of a little more rear grip to help my turn in. Thanks for this setup
