Yes, the Ta06 spool. On asphalt track using the Hobbywing 13 turn combo. It was Craptacular. It would veer left or right under power and spin around. A real handful.

Hello Everyone.

We just started running the new Ride Sc-33M tires and my home track. NO ONE has been able to get them to hook up like the S or M grips. Need some advice please.

Our track indoor is small-ish and we run on black CRC carpet. Also, we are required to run NO traction compound.

Thanks is advance.

What are the cars doing/not doing compared to the S/M grips? Rolling, no steering, oversteering etc?

while the ride tires look cool i have found they just dont work on some surfaces.
33 is just to hard for the rear. you either need to go harder on the front or softer on .
front tires on carpet build temp really quick and the rears just dont. even if you warm the rears they dont hold the temp like the fronts do and make it out of balalnce.
if you are running 33 front and rear i doubt you will get them to work

things i would try
different rear tires
turn steering end points down, minis dont need much steering throw
more toe out on front to help keep it straight
turn puch down to limit wheelspin so to not over heat the front tires
tires is the biggest issue though i think

They are the new TCS control tyre, they aren't allowed to change tyres. I'd also be careful adding lots of front toe out, the further from neutral they are the more heat they will generate.

Maybe try the wide 6mm front hex, 4mm rear hex, stiffest spring up front with shock laid down. Softest in rear about middle of the tower with a good amount of camber. If you're running super-heavy diff fluid, may want to try going lighter. Less rear droop. And then there's the good old glue the front sidewalls. No compound up front and full rear compound.

This may/may not work, but aside from the diff fluid, all super-quick adjustments to try. Like gigaplex said, these are the tires we need to run. Looks like we're all going to be in this boat.

thats an odd tire to choose for a controlled series?
toe out might generate a fraction more heat but it will definetly keep it more stable

Interesting problem. It’s a bit like how Tamiya doesn't allow tire compound at the worlds and they run clean carpet every year. It comes down to everyone having the same problem. So, there have been some good ideas thrown around.

- warning the rear tires. If it’s allowesd, warm them thoroughly, slowly and try not to melt anything
- wider hexes will add grip at whatever end they’re on
- suspension tweaks. Soften the rear. Firm the front end
- tighter diff will help the front slide more in proportion to the rear.

That’s the basics. You should be able to weed something out of that. Good luck.

Yes, I run at Larry's. The car is all over the place. Pushes, hooks, slides and otherwise misbehaves.

Good input from all. Let the testing begin!!!

Trying soaking the rear tires in a bag with simple green or liquid wrench the night before.
