Maybe a question that has already been answered but what other parts needed to convert a 17 to 18.

I have found the following

371109 X12 2018 - Graphite Lower Deck - 2.5mm
376259-O X12 2018 - Alu Servo Posts - ORANGE (2 pcs)
376365-O Alu Mount 18.0mm - Orange (2)

is anything else I'm missing?

Has anyone tried using a micro servo for steering? Trying to lose some weight.

The Sanwa SRG-HR is 21.9 grams, not sure if that helps or not.

Anyone make any setup changes going from the ‘17 to ‘18 car (us edition)? Considering switching my stock over to the ‘18, and my mod to the ‘17.

Or do the setups pretty much transfer over?

They do for the most part. The '18 has some additional setup options that the '17 does not have, but overall the general setup should transfer over pretty well.

On the '18, the long wheelbase setting in the front is similar to that of the '17. I think the front shock mount is a little higher up on the 17 if you left it in kit form.

Thanks, Korey. Thinking that the lower cg from the servo mount/shock mount position, as well as the stiffer arms may be beneficial.

I have the lower shock position all the way down (no spacers), I suppose it would be wise to add a mm spacer there to start w an nearly equal setup?

Running 20k in the tubes...would going to 25 or 30 be speed carrying benifitial in the corners on our tracks?...or do I risk losing traction?

oh yes, bumper graphite holder, I forgot to mention that.

The other totally missed them, thanks! There was typo on one of the codes you provied, not 373040 but 373094, the description helped to identify the correct part number

so the complete list is
371109 Graphite Lower Deck - 2.5mm
371210 X12 Graphite Bumper Lower Holder 2.5mm
373094 Composite Lower & Upper Pivot Brace -Low Roll-Center- H - V3
373550 X12 Graphite Rear Pod Upper Plate 2.5mm
375010 Graphite Rear Axle Shaft ('17 has the steel axle)
375093-O Alu Shim 6.37x8.4x6.0mm - Orange (2)
376259-O Alu Servo Posts - ORANGE (2 pcs)

Hey Jeff,

If you wanted the 18 to feel the same as your 17, then yes adding a few spacers under the front of the shock would make it similar.

I think in 17.5 going a little harder on damper tube fluid is beneficial. I ran 30K the last time I was running 17.5. Modified, I generally stick to 10-20K so it doesn't square off corners too hard.

Hey guys, I have used the '18 for a few race days now and have a question. Is it normal for this car to have a lot of bump steer(toe in)? I have noticed most of the set up sheets show people using 2-4 mm shims under the outer ball stud, I am up to 6 mm and still have some noticeable bump steer. I also have the servo as low as it will go without the servo saver coming through the bottom of the chassis. Is this a tuning option I shouldn't be overlooking with this car? I typically try to eliminate it as much as possible.

6mm!

Hope you are using a longer ball stud!
