Mugen MTC1 Wiki:

MTC1 Manual on the Mugen Web Site.

Correction for the manual

The max/min tooth count of the spur and pinion combined.

64p = 127 to 164 total teeth

48p = 95 to 120 total teeth

People who have spare spur gears left over from other cars which they wish to use but can only utilize 2 of the 4 mounting holes, here's neat trick from MKAH to drill 2 more holes precisely in the spur gear:

1.Dismantle the Spur Holder and mount XRAY Spur with two screws.

2.If you have take a 3mm Top Setting Screw

3.Get the Top Screw in the first free thread to the Spur Holder from the other side until it touches the Spur a litle bit.
Make the same with the second free Thread.

4.Dismantle Top set Srew an the two screws witch holds the Spur on the Holder.
Now you see two marks absolutely central.

5. Take an 3mm Driller an Drill the holes at the marked places

6.Mount the Spur with the two old and two new holes on the Spur.

Spur Gears known to fit the gear holder with the correct hole pattern

1. Axon
2. Panaracer

Upper front arm hinge pin set screw tip (or any of the kit set screws):

When installing the set screw run the set screw in until you can see it come into the hinge pin gap. Back the screw out and make sure there is no flashing in the way and then the screw. Now slide the pin in and you should hit the pin and come to a dead stop. It will be a solid feel and not sloppy like it will not tighten which is caused by any loose plastic.

Saw the optional battery holder in my LHS one day and it was surprised how expensive it was. I paid around $50 for it which if you think about it seems really excessive, but I was pretty happy about the quality. It was nicely thought out, wouldnt expect anything less from Mugen....but its 50 bucks

Just got the harden gear and softer orings for the diff and installed them in the car. I tried to compare the softer oring to the original clear oring for the diff to see if there are any noticeable difference and to be honest, they both feel the same to me. I have yet to run the car yet so its hard to say if theres and difference in performance. At least I hope the gears would last longer over stock

According to the setup sheet, each dot position is 1/2 degree + or - in whatever direction.

If you use the stock setup with center dot inserts for both the RF and RR, that will give you 3 degrees negative toe. And as casrcr stated, each position will give you 1/2 degree adjustment

I am also working on a few other parts... specifically another pulley to allow for a front gear diff, and a lighter spool... currently in prototype phase, but keep an eye on the FB page

Unless you are constantly competitive racing and need your car to be on the absolute limit of weight and are sponsored by screw companies, I really dont see the poijnt in using light weight components. You only get a few cycles on them before you start deforming the hex heads, rounding them, sheering off the screw heads, develop play in your drive train, snapping turnbuckle in a crash etc.

Thanks.
I have the same question, if someone could help.

specially, I am unsure about how to get “NO” steering stopper.

i think that in the kit, only the 5mm collar is included, right? And the 5.5 an 6mm collars are optional

thanks
