Need Help With Lipo Batteries plss
Hi everyone,
I am new to the rc community and to the hobby as well!
And I need help with charging my lip battery...
Battery: 7.4v 6000mah 2S 25C
Charger: Imax b6ac balance charger/discharger
So my question is: The imax b6ac can only charge up to 5A, so is it safe if I only balance charge my battery up to 5A at 1C, I don't really care if it takes a long time to charge and that the battery is not fully charged, AND I DON'T WANT EVERYTHING TO GO BOOM so do you guys think it should be fine?
Thank you!!

Should be fine
1C would be 6Amps. 2C would be 12Amps. Charging at 1C or less would not hurt the battery at all. If it does anything, they would most likely last longer with a slower charge.

Correct
Right!! When you double your Amp charge rate, you cut the charge time in half. So your 6000mAh battery will charge in about a hour (just using this as a reference- they will mostly likely take less time) at a 1C charge rate of 6 Amps.
Double the charge rate to 12 Amps or 2C & it will take around 1/2 hour or so.

Hello everybody
I'm just getting back into the game. I have a losi 8ight 3.0 and a tekin T8 Gen 2 2250kV Sensored Brushless Motor. Can someone please let me know what lipo battery I should be using. Thanks

Battery
Depending on your ESC (speed control), I'd say you could use a 4S LIPO. I used to run the same motor with a Tekin RX8 ESC.
As far as the actual battery to recommend, that would mostly depend on what you're going to do. If you're just horsing around, then I would say take your pick of 4S LIPO's.
If you're racing, then I'd go with SMC, Pro-Match, or Maxx Amps & probably nothing below 5000Mah.
