I emailed integy with a few small issues I have with lipo function. After going back and forth a few emails, they are sending me the 6.2 chip. I asked if I had to pay for it and it was said that normally the upgrade chip is around $20, but mine will be free, I guess since I have a problem with my lipo not reaching full charge capacity, hope this cures it.

I currently have a 16x7v6 and i love it.. Prolly since i dont need a power supply.. Havent had any issues.. I am looking at the 16x8/..

I read the integy site and the way it is listed it seems you need a seperate supply for the v2 function. is this correct?? or does it power itself off the internal supply.. thanks

Burbs If by V2 function U mean the Dyno. No U don't need a seperate Power source. All functions of the Charger can be done off AC current.

Yes, just got mine after a 2 week wait. I signed up at their help desk, and reported a issue I had with mine going back to the main menu after a completed charge. I wasnt able to read the peak voltage, time ect, when this would happen. It only happened a few times but was a cause for concern in my eyes. I asked for the chip in a round about way. I was going to purchase it had their support tech not said anything about sending one. Its simply an awesome charger now, everything is fully adjustible during the phase charging, MAH, Temp for each phase. My only gripe left now is memory slots. I'd love to have atleast 3 for different batteries. Maybe when the v6.3 comes out they'll have them. I'm sure this chip wont be the last one, seems integy is pretty good about tweeking everthing about this charger.

I did.

Chip changes allow:

adjustable mah for each phase/step
No more early cutoff due to cell capacity
motor run-in and break in feature now cuts out at 20amps

That's all I have noticed.

Hopefully I get one as I have sent a request via their ticket system and its now been 2 days and still no reply. The 20 amp motor running function is well worth it since all my stock motors peak above 15 amps on the CTX motor master.

Default Charge Settings

I need some advice on settings now that I have the 6.2 chip. Should I start with a lower amp charge to stabilize then go to a higher amp rate? Thanks.

Default I wrote the following to INTEGY

I have just bought a 16x8v6 charger and noticed that the fans are QUITE loud and would like to suggest that you sell quieter ones, also I noticed on a few forums that this charger has bugs in v6 and seen that you have issued out a few v6.2 chips and I would like to ask for one since I do not want to take risks with charging LIPOs on this charger. I would also like to suggest that if you do upgrade the firmware AGAIN please include memory slots for different charging profiles, at least 3 so that there is a memory slot for NICD, NIMH, LIPO. This charger is a little intimidating to use especially if it is bought by a less tech savvy person if they accidentally charge a LIPO in a different mode results can be deadly and I am sure lawsuits follow if that happens. I am sure as a reputable RC company you guys would take this into serious consideration.
