Every ESC uses PWM. Is there one particular function or feature to which you refer?

With ORCA (and presumably now also with new hobbywing) you can change the drive/brake PWM frequency (e.g. 2k(Hz), 4k(Hz), 8k(Hz), 32k(Hz) / 1k(Hz), 2k(Hz), 4k(Hz) for ORCA)

However, I would like to know more about the Orca , as far as price, and where to find it.
Depending on where you live, ORCA gear can be a bit difficult to get - and the ESCs are usually also more expensive than for example Hobbywing or LRP (used to be that both could be had for 75-80% of the price of an ORCA, although the new XR10 Pro now seems to even cost a little more than a VX3 around here).

Don't overlook the Turnigy line of esc's. Their GenII's offer the same programmability as the HW series 3's at less than half the price. Their sportsman series offer the frequency options in 80 and 120 amp versions. The new Sportsman 60a programs just like the GenII's but cannot have timing or boost set. It has a very good feel to both throttle and brakes. I have found the brakes to be very strong on that model and it is by far my favorite amongst their entire line. To boot it is only $28.

I run the new hobbywing xr10 pro. It's brilliant with a few more tuning options than the v3.1. The throttle and braking frequency level changes have made it much easier to dial into different track and grip levels. Up to now, completely reliable racing multiple times per week (as was the v3.1).

On my other cars I run Muchmore Fleta pro, which is very smooth and easy to drive straight out of the box. The other esc I run is the Reds Racing tx120 matched with their zx motors. Very good esc. Supper smooth and highly tuneable, with the same frequency level changes as the MM and HW.

I'm finding all three are reliable and suit TC really well. Not many people run the Reds Racing esc so if you want to be a little different....
