good day guys i'm trying to avoid the purchase of the aluminum steering assembly as much as possible, maybe you guys have tweaks on how to minimize slop?

Don't think theres many tricks, fact is, plastic flexes, nothing you can do about that :P and the aluminum steering is only $15 on ebay :P

Imel24 : the aluminum steering is really necessary as it eliminates side-to-side and up-and-down slop. That's a major reduction. There's a bushing that goes inside the steering arm bearings. You can sand these down to match the arm's bearing heigt to eliminate up and down play.
You can also sand down the bushings of the bridge that links the two steering cranks together, or just shim it to eliminate up and down play.
Another source of slop is the part of the front upright that goes into the pivot ball inside the upper and lower arm. The part that goes into the ball is sometimes too thin, you can wrap a layer of scotchtape to take up some of the looseness. You can either wrap enough tape and still let the front upright turn inside the ball or wrap more tape for tight fit with the ball; in this case the ball will start turning inside the cavity of the arms.
after the upright/arms become snug, use turnbuckles,ball studs and ball cups for the steering links and twist the steering links to take out any slop.

mailboxck.... did you ever find a solution to that camber slop of the TT-01?... I'm having the same problem right now... even with the stock front upper arms, when I used a camber gauge to measure the camber the left (driver side) camber is -1 which is what's it suppose to be... but the right (passenger side) camber is +1 which would make it 2 degrees off..... what could be causing this? can anyone help me?

I just ordered my 1st TT01 kit today + a full bearing kit. For parking lot bashing only, no racing. I have radio/rec/servo already. Should I upgrade anything else [oil dampers, aluminum shaft?] or is it pretty good as is? Thanks!

What is the final gear ratio you are running? 8.35:1 using 61/19?
With the power of MM7700, does it tear up your bevel and ring gear?
How was the car behaviour like in the corners?
I am keen to install a MM4600 into my TT-01 too.

-not that i know off, i've ran it twice and nothing really big has happened, maybe a little dirt or so, and that's about it.
-it's smooth jsut as long as you slow down

The track I am running at now is low grip and very dusty. I had to trimmed all the MM5700 settings to their minimum to run my XRay T1 and it is really flying... I cant imagine a MM7700 on a TT-01 will be like ...
