its bassically the same as a TB evo 4-5 only reversed. so you mount the spur and then mount your motor and align the meshing.

Maybe some of you guys could help me out. Ive just fitted the front & rear stabilizer sets. on both front & rear i have used the yellow 'medium' bars. Now the rear bar is nice & tight, but the front bar is loose and it moves around alot. any help would be great.

OK guys I need some help. Where can I find the speed tuned gears for the TT-01. It seems everywhere I look they are out or it says "Discontinued". Thanks in advance.

i have some speed tuned gears here i wont be using. 55t and 58t and a 25t pinion if youre interested....



i wont be using them because look what i made







will be supplying better pictures soon when i pull the car appart again.


currently fitted is a 38t pinion and a 69t spur in HPI 48pitch gearing.

Final drive is now 4.72

is it helpful or just add beauty to a car?

alright, i fianlly built my first tt01 w/ a dx 2

and now i try to set it up....

i have 3 things that plug into the reciever,

my servo, some red one with 2 female plugs, and the esc.... where goes where?

also for some reason when i plug in all three of those i can only steer and not drive... and the esc is beeping and flashing...

also what colour shoul go with what colour on my motor.... i have green/yellow on the motor and orange/blue on the esc...

i will be getting more photos very soon.


basically i just turned it up on the lathe out of aluminium. it took about 7 hours to do...and i plan to make another one a bit better quality. this one isnt up to my standards but it works which is the main thing.

i made the holder to work in the same way as the actually TT01 gear works. pretty much being held in position by a pin but i had to shim the hold out slightly. i am unsure if the holder works on the TUB chassis though.

PARE! Actually its more for stability for high speed tracks and additional support for the Shocks. Ive tried on a TT01 and personally I don't see any difference in handling.

Stabilizer bars adjust side to side traction, by resisting body roll.
When an upwards force is applied to one suspension arm an upwards force is also applied to the other arm attached to the stabilizer. This makes the car ride flatter through corners. The weight is spread more evenly between both left and right wheels.

Without attempting to explain the physics, there is also an overall loss of traction|grip with the addition of a stabilizer. This has the effect of changing the balance of the car to the other end.

If your car loses traction at the rear when slowing and turning in (spins out turning under brakes), a stiffer stabilizer at the front (or softer at the rear) will make the car have more grip at the rear.

The basic rule, stiffer stabilizer at one end means more traction at the other.

Note that you are wasting your time if you don't stiffen the TT-01 it flexes so much that the stabilizers do stuff all.

I suggest a carbon fibre upper and the 3 Racing shock tower stiffeners - then you will be able to see the effects.

I have TT-01D B parts (Tamiya 51217) which allow you to use 2 sets of front stabilizers mounted on the lower arms, they also give an additional shock mounting point, downstop adjustment, and have metal hinge pins. The blue aluminium blocks which I assume you have mounted on the CF upper ar not used.

The plastic blocks supplied have 2 x 3mm grub screws which are adjusted to prevent the stabilizer from bouncing up and down. I would suggest drilling and tapping the aluminium blocks to take grub screws, if up and down is the problem.

If side to side is the problem then Tamiya 53827 stabilzer rod stoppers will do the job.
