Disclaimer: I'm not looking to sell any product just yet and am just looking for input from you, R/C Enthusiast.
What's up RC Tech? I constantly find myself looking for parts from other cars to customize and tune my X-Ray T4 2016 into a drift chassis; and yes, I do know that there are better options for a drift than this one. I've been modifying the crap out of my T4 just to fit parts from parts that I'm able to find from local hobby stores. There are a handful of stores within a 1 hour radius of where I live (in California) that stock highly sought out r/c drift parts and I'm sick of having to drill and custom fab things to work together.
I, along with other friends are willing to put some money together to start manufacturing our own decks. These decks will be pre-drilled for parts and hop-ups from Eagle Racing, 3 Racing, and MST. Giving one the ability to take parts from various brands to make the ultimate chassis. I don't have many close friends who are into R/C drifting as much as me, so any advise or opinions from others would be greatly appreciated.

Having been into the rc drift scene for a few years now, I'll give my input. This will probably only work as a limited run if the price is right and the quality is high, for so many reasons.
Mostly, drifters fall into 1 of 2 categories though.
1. They build everything themselves by frankensteining and custom one-off builds because that's what they find fun. Experimenting themselves and unique builds.
2. Brand...well...to keep it clean...loyal. lol They stick exclusively to one brand. If they have a MST, everything is MST. If they've gone Overdose, everything is Overdose.
I like the idea you have, and I say go for it and give it a shot, don't let me put your fire out. But based on my experience, you'll be marketing to a small crowd of a sub-genre of the hobby. I wouldn't expect huge sales or much of a profit, if at all.

Thanks for the input! I'm going do it regardless. If anything it'll be a small run for me and some friends. If it doesn't work out then worse case scenario I'd like to make conversion mods; better steering parts and motor relocation.
