so if i used the stock gearboxs id have to find a way of holding the bearings in better then shim it.
ill have to experiment i guess

everycar and every gear is different mate. i still think that even with the alloy boxes you could easily shimm the diffs a tiny bit away from the pinion for more freeness, im putting the stock boxes back on when i next rebuild my car for a comparison. alot of things have changed on my car since i got the square boxes id like to step back n try it all with the original boxes.

managed to improve the drive train with out the shimming and by keeping the alloy gear cases. Because i just loved the stiffness (and redness ) i decided instead to work on the plastic outer case. Just dont a similar thing the tc3 drivers do inside their gearboxs and its made it veeeeeeeeery good , it just spins and spins and spins, becasue its incredibly light ( drive train ) ive got it too 8 second spin count, may not seem high but im running lightweight parts through out...
Only thing i havent purchased are the Ti axles.. anygood? someone told me they arent worth the purchase as youll find they wear alot quicker then the steel ones. anyone?
I have a vid of the drive train, but no online space, can anyone help?
thanks

Yep!!
Futaba 9550- I have one that I just took off my car and it works awesome!! It already has the corner of the ear trimmed and the wire shortened. I used it for about 3 months (approx 3 race weekends). Only reason I changed was because Robert from KO has been helping me out so I bought another 2123 for my EVO3SE. I was gonna put it on the for sale forum but if one of you guys wants it I'll take $50 shipped. Paypal or USPS money order.
BTW- Speedtech has some pretty cool Square hop ups for the EVO3. I wouldn't expect them to last very long. The best ones are the center braces and the aluminum rear hubs.
