Any comparisons between the Nazda 4 and IS-200 on carpet and asphalt?

Nazda4 feels someone like an LTC-R

We did some extensive testing w/ the Nazda4 at Mile High Champs and found that it really depends upon the layout. The Nazda4 has extreme high speed steering so if your layouts have a lot of full or near full throttle turning sections then it will be a great body.

Alternatively, when you have a lot of tight low speed corners nothing seems to match the Nazda2 corner rotation. In fact we had 6 of 10 A-main drivers in 17.5 TC at Mile High Champs --- not to mention it won the 2016 ROAR Carpet National Championship in 17.5 and 13.5 TC the month prior.

Don't forget it also won 17.5 and 13.5 at MHIC let alone had that many drivers using the body in the 17 A main.

The Mon-Tech IS-200 body is now ROAR approved -- 016-004 (IFMAR 1647). This is the 5th body approved now by ROAR in 2016

we've been seeing a lot of different questions about the best mounting location for the ROAR certified 1/10th EP TC racing bodies. here is our best summary---

Mounting Neutral/Centered on wheel wells in front end:
- Nazda3
- Silvy
- Nazda4

Mounting Extremely Forward -- On Amtx or XRay cars - adjust the rear body post first so that it nearly goes through the rear wing upright:
- Nazda2
- IS-200

I see many people say that the IS200 and Nazda 2 are the bodies to have. What is the direct comparison between the two in terms of handling? What is the reason that the Nazda appears to be more preferred for stock racing and the IS200 more preferred for mod?

The Nazda 2 has less initial steering, and more mid corner steering. The IS200 has more initial steering, and is more stable mid corner. The IS200 also has more downforce so is better at high speed.

N2 is liked for stock for its cornerspeed. IS for mod for downforce and stability. Many peopl like the IS for stock as well, it comes down to driver/setup preferences

One last statement to add to Gee's-- unless you have euro-style sweeping corners, the is200 is likely better on asphalt in all motor classes.

ROAR body approval process submitted and bodies sent for approval now! Quantity of available bodies won't be known until this weekend. Back orders shipping on Monday. I'd suggest NOT waiting to see how many we have in stock!

so were there enough racer bodies to fill the orders? did they ship yet?

with one or two exceptions (these are retailers who order a lot of other stuff too) -- if you haven't received a tracking # from goshippo.com, our shipping partner, you're likely to be on the waiting list still.

even if you've received a tracking number don't be surprised if your order is not 100% complete. in order to get the body in the largest number of hands possible we took larger orders and split them up to increase the distribution/impact of the first shipment of bodies received.

status updates via the web store to people's orders are still pending -- paperwork is almost harder than packing boxes. updates will happen worst case on friday this week.

mon-tech (italy) is on holiday until next monday, but we expect another batch of Racer bodies asap when they return to the factory.

Until someone runs it on carpet, we won't know. Right now for us our focus is paved nats in a few weeks, then we will start running indoors

Currently we are awaiting an updated body, with a different part number, for resubmission to ROAR for GBS verification. Upon the passing of the body then a large order will be inbound.

Anyone like the Racer better than the Nazda 2.0?

I wouldn't say better its all application based. what type of traction what style of Conners. An how do you like your car to handle, streer feel under different circumstances. The nazda 2 has phenomenal rotation abilities an very consistent an a good balance of steering. the racer body walks in a hole new light offering the endless possibilities of more initial steering Mid Corner steering transitioning left to right in the right condition. Technology is advancing every day with our body's now days you have to try both an see what best suites your style of driving. But the racer is something special
