Default hope they revise spool

YOu are 100% correct the front spool is in bad need of revision! Even team associated cars have bullet proof front spools! I Cannot run one of these otherwise awesome cars until they ditch the stupid blades in frt.

I'd also like to see larger replaceable drive pins like what VBC has. Much more surface area to contact the outdrive and can be replaced for pennies.

The 4x spool fits the 411 perfectly and has steel out drives. Mine has been fine so far and is a big improvement to the alu one that came with the 411 kits

I am still trying to work out if the stabiliser bars run in ballraced or nylon inserts, the photo and one news article on Serpent website indicates inserts, another article says ballraced.

Nylon Inserts. The bulkheads are the same as the 4.0 car.

Just picked up a 4.0 with aluminum chassis. I plan on running it on medium grip asphalt in the USGT class. Will the aluminum chassis be okay on asphalt or will I have to get the carbon fiber one. Would Xray progressive springs fit on this car or what is being run for springs. Thank you.

The 2.25 carbon chassis is better on asphalt. Yes xray springs fit the car however when I was running the 4.0 (I'm running the 4x now) I used HPI Blue all round 99% of the time. Sometimes HPI Silver.

It's been released and as far as I understand enroute to the distributors. I think you'll see stocks arriving within the next week or so.

Briefly comparing the parts list for the 4.0 and the 4.1 seems the only changes I noticed are motor mount, shock towers, middle shaft set and cvd instead of dcj upfront.

I hope you are wrong about the car coming with CVD's rather than DJC's in the front. That would be a huge downgrade and a big disappointment. In the promo pics it looks like it also still has the one piece aluminum spool in the front. SMH

Yeah the manual shows CVDs in the front with DCJs being an optional part. Also has the alu front spool. This is a real shame as both are vital updates and should be standard. The 4.0 had DCJs as standard so why the backwards step???

I'm sure it's been discussed before but I am new to this car. What spool is being used to replace the aluminum one?
