Rob are you referring to the side link shimming or the stiffer spring?

Where and how are you mounting motor fans on the car?

I saw a lot of guys at the MHIC race at 5280 Raceway in Denver mount the fan on top of the motor with a mount that goes around the motor can. If you run a thin fan like the WTF fan, you can also mount to the left pod mount. There are threaded holes near the bottom of the mount.

What size fans are people mounting on the left pod? 25mm or 30mm?

The R1 Wurks fan mount and WFT fan are perfect for F1. You do have to cut the rear of the body up further but not a big deal.

The problem with mounting the fan in the left bulkhead blowing on the timing ring side of the motor is, it does not cool the motor enough. Everyone that uses the over the top approach sees a 15 to 20 deg drop in motor temp over side mounting.

Thank you. Do you have any idea where I can find one of the R1 mounts? Everywhere I've looked is out of stock.

Also, where can I get a set of battery mounts for the inline setup? I can't find them on the Roche or Roche USA site.

I finally got my car on the track yesterday. Besides knocking 3 years of rust off my driving the car was pretty good, and got better with every change I made. I did have an issue with the pivot ball bushings popping out of the arms. I was getting really annoying. Does anyone have a solutions for keeping them in the arms? Should I just use a spot of CA, or is there a better solution using the o-ring?

I CA the bottom ones and use the o-ring. Make sure the bushing on the bottom arm has the o-ring on top, the picture in the manual can be confusing.

Also, X-Ray bushing are compatible and seem to have a bit more "snap" when the suspension ball is inserted.

Will the Xray pivot balls also work?

My latest set up
I added weight to the front end to get 220g+ per front tire and things went really well on a very technical layout.
Car stayed flat, no diffing, great stearing.

After months not playing with the F1, I rebuild most of it yesterday and hit the track.

I used a similar setup to Alex Stocker's from the last round of ETS (On Arno's site) except used Xray 2.5 center spring, 30k in the side tubes and xray c1.2 side springs on Xray's spring holder, ride soft front springs.

Car was pretty nice to drive - only thing I think would be the oversteer mid-corner if I yanked the car into the corner. Maybe stiffer side springs needed? Any thoughts?

Also has anyone had a look at the bump steer in the steering? The steering arms on my car seem REALLY angled - just wondered if anyone's tried taking this out?

Cheers!
