Personally, I looked at both cars and went with the BT-4, as the battery slots screamed outdated chassis design.

Purchased one for my son....it was on sale for 83.99....He will be excited to build.

Now onto some research to see what motor and esc we can put in it in case he wants to race.

BT-4 any day over the td10, I had a couple of Sakura's in the past, including the Sakura "S", and they're like chalk & cheese.
Sure the BT-4 has a couple of annoyances but a car for the price it is right now, and worked "out of the box" on my first race night with it.

Yes, the BT-4 is the best choice over the TD10. I just brought me another one to run in the VTA class.

Well, it's been fun guys, but I've been picked up by Xray and moving on. If y'all need any updates to the parts compatibility post please send me a PM. Best of luck all!

Congrats, and thanks for all your help & input in regards to the car. Hope you have a lot of success with Xray in the future.

p.s. I still say this car is the best touring car I have ever owned.

Good luck. I hope you'll post back here with how the new car performs against the BT-4.

And same for me (and my son), the BT-4 car is the best touring car I have ever owned (previous cars were Schumacher Mi4, Mi4CX, Mi4CLX and Mi5).

Does anyone know where I can find the link to the manual online? I searched and cannot find it. I am trying to get all of the parts necessary to build it ordered before Christmas. I know my son will not want to wait for something to "arrive" Thanks!

Could find manual online either. What parts are you looking for. I've got it at home.

My RTR version came with a 79t. 48 pitch. Just a guess but kit probably similar. I used 35/69 gearing.
I'm using Serpent spur gear in mine. I'm sure others will fit.
