This is a bullcrap conversation, There is a very real possibility of zero data to be relevant, each bearing involved will need to be compared for friction before any comparison is valid, each belt will have to be compared also for drag/flexability, on and on!
Do you see the picture?

This test is really easy, the variables (bearings, belt, tension) are easily controlled, set, reproduced.
Any data is better than zero data. If data correlates with theory, then theory is probably correct. If data opposes the theory, redo the test to be more stringent (e.g. swap the bearings between cars or run brand new bearings). The belt will not be swapped as the proposition of a 3 belt is you can run a thinner belt with less friction.
If I had an IRIS I would do a series of test and surely know 100% if the transmission is better or not. Engineers cannot sleep if we do not know the answer

I thought most belt car racers were already testing their drivetrain for efficiency. What method is there other than the amp draw/radio trim percentage check ???

I have checked, the old "IRIS ONE" is on sale the IRIS ONE.05 is the new car!

Happy to meet Mr. Andreas here in Thailand. Cars look very nice in person. I now know the answer to the 2 belt vs 3 belt efficiency query

Bumped into Jason Statham in Thailand. Big congratulations to IRIS for winning the FWD class!

Of all the prototype and new cars I saw in Thailand, the IRIS was the most impressive/innovative to see in person. Pictures do not do it justice. Upper arms were slim / lightweight and I can now appreciate the 3 belt design given we stripped a rear belt in our 2 belt during qualifying.
I believe this is the lowest CG car even lower than the Awesomatix.

We have had very good success with the car here in the US, we have done a lot of testing on the black carpet and the car is performing very well.
