They deleted my thread about the epic pass and wreck and then banned me remember? Lol

Here it is...Mugen MGT7 Eco on 8s. 173 mph through the traps and a blown tire causing a wreck at the end:

Thanks for the kind words but the car has been back together since about 3 days after the crash. Just been taking my time and doing some testing to make sure everything is right again before going for super high speeds again. Here is a few passes from last weekend with my other slower motor. 145 mph:

Lol. Never thought I would be at this level myself

I will be happy if I can hit 100.1mph but I know after that, trying to get more will be the hunt

Speed is addictive. I have a feeling once you hit 100 you will want more.

Is anyone going fast with a 56/58mm diameter 1/5 motor?

Almost the only cars that can fit 56/58mm motors would have to be 1/5 scale cars. Smaller cars would need a different motor mount to fit something that big although I think the Traxxas XO1 may be able to fit one on its stock mount. Also most 1/5 scale motors are lower kv that would require at least 10 or 12s to make optimal power. Its challenging to fit that much battery in something smaller than 1/5 scale. Not to mention the extra weight could negate most of the extra power of a 56/58mm motor.

Can any body recommend a good 4s motor? Or, is it safe to assume that a 2s/3s motor would be okay to run on 4s? I'm talking 1/10 scale car. Thanx.

Castle's 5700kv 4 pole on 4s is pretty reliable and runs fairly cool and is capable of MPH's in the 120's in a 1/10 scale.

I don't think it would be safe running 4s in a motor that can only handle 2 or 3s. overheating, among other things, would be your enemy.
