Pocket Pit lap timer

Really good to know the Pocket Pit has Android support now. I'll have to let my Android track buddies know.
Has anyone been using it on Adroid that can share their experience? Would like to be sure it works well before I start recommending it.

I have used the app to record over 800 laps over the past two weekends. So far there wasn't any hiccup. I would say the app is pretty solid and stable.

Hi Bigbull, what would you like to know?
The app now has custom race time which you can set by the second, minimum lap time to prevent multiple counts per lap, variable voice speed and the facility to email you lap times out of the history page.

Has anybody experience with the Zeppin system? For Android users it's almost half the price compared to this (the mentioned 3rd party app costs cca 20), so not sure if the convenience is worth it. A cheap FM transmitter for the Zeppin is 2-3 bucks, so not really an issue.

Before you spend money if your track has mylaps timing system and you have a mylaps transponder you can get live laptimes with just an app. (both the track system and your phone have to be connected to the Internet).

EDIT: I used this app when my local track was on mylaps: MYLAPS Practice Results by MYLAPS Sports Timing

This worked great.
Not sure which app is the current one for live timing, their app strategy is one confused mess.

I havent used mine for the last few months as I have not been able to club race ( just have been attending the last wcics events which uses wcics live timing for practice ) but I see now that they have updated the software ( min lap, thank you! ) with this addition I would now give it a 10 out of 10
great product if you want to control your own practice data. Hope that helps.

Glad to see these are selling well, still loving mine.
I haven't checked in for a while; Do we have the option to buy more IR transmitters yet? I often test 2-3 cars in a day, and it would be nice to not have to move my single unit around constantly.

I picked one up from Zen Racing. I actually back ordered mine and asked them to send it with two transponders and Zen got ordered and delivered with no issues to the US.
I'm using android with the Timing Beam App on a Galaxy S2. It was super easy to get working except that I can't get the spoken lap times to work. It will announce the race start and timer, the welcome message, etc. but not the lap times. I've checked and unchecked the button for them with no change. I also tried both the google and samsung speach engines, adjusted the speach speed, and every other adjustment that I could find but it just won't speak lap times.
Any ideas?
