Either you or I need new calipers. My new set of Parmas are 28.3mm or 28.4mm at the rim. If I compress the caliper as hard as I can it will go to 28.1mm

This is another dumb rule from ROAR. This is a rule that should be waved until the manufacturers start making them to spec.

The ROAR Minumum Foam Tire Diameter is listed at 55mm.

While we are at it....Please check the ROAR approved body list as well at the ROAR approved motor list (Mod Guys). You will be suprised how many bodies have had their approval expire. The current Approved motor list does not include the Cobalt 2 mod motor.

Please make sure you are on top of this so it doesn't come up in tech.

Thanks,

Art

The Cobalt 2 has been submitted and "should" be legalized by the nationals.

Tire width is being looking into as well.

I have a WHOLE bunch of parmas here and all of them are under 28mm at the edge of the rim.

...do you always over-exagerate your measurements?

Are you using a digital caliper?

Here's a picture of the official ROAR tech box that will be used at the nats

I was very impressed with its design and construction, its a very solid and professional looking unit. The roller being held on the left of the picture is used to tech the rear cutout and determine legal rear bumper height.

What does the thing on the front do? (The part with the wires going to it?)

That motor is on the approved list and has been for more than 3 years. 3 years and 3 days to be exact.

Now here a question,

Ride Height, according to ROAR Foam cars min is 4.5 but I believe it can be the tracks final choice.

Only if the track chooses to submit a deviation to the rule and the Ex-Com and/or Designated ROAR Official (DRO) grants the deviation.
