It came factory built, so I am taking it apart to put CA glue on chassis. Look at the front knuckle. There is a pin to stop it moving too far. Gear diff is smooth and no leak. Front metal outdrive with big drive pins. Car looks good. Can’t wait to race this thing. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...6f08c9d16.jpeg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...27c833044.jpeg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...e492a26a3.jpeg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...be63bc4de.jpeg |

My brother and a friend was able to get their car ready in time to test it out this past weekend and they both said that car feels more reactive in the corners. The car didnt need much work out of the box. The drive train felt smooth enough. Just had to do a once over to make sure all the screws are tight. The shocks had a lot of air in it so a rebuild is a must. The oil that came in the diff felt really light for 13.5T boosted so swapped that out as well.
Its a shame they still chose to use the through body design shock. They seem to fixed SOME if the leaking issues but not all and after 6 packs air has gotten into the shock again. They use the same super short body shock design on the Xray on the T3 so upgrading the shocks are limited. You either swap it out for a set of Xray, or Axon. For under 250 I would say its a pretty good deal |
I don’t really like the feel of the shocks, so I was trying to fit Xray’s in it. Then I had a thought of using the Xray ULP (2018/2019) shocks with the ULP shock towers. I could make the towers fit, but the length of the shocks are off. So back to the bench, and work on rebuilding the original shocks.... if I can’t to the feel I like, i may just put a set of Xray SLP shocks in it. |

I like the current design. Plus it’s easy to replace with an one piece top deck if wanted. |

you should have the little bag with the different size suspension orings , place the smaller one under the arms as on the picture the arm travel and smoothness will improve |
