New Graphite Hubs:
Xray have recently released some additional Graphite hubs for the T4 lineup. The 4° Graphite C-Hub has been out for some time and is known to improve steering on entry, and in general makes the car turn better. This has been the go-to c-hub on asphalt for many on the Xray team, though it is not needed on high bite carpet. The Graphite rear hub tends to make the car more stable, especially on corner entry. We are still working on gathering input on the new Graphite steering block, but for the moment feel that it should improve steering response. All Graphite parts are approximately 1g lighter than the Hard or Medium options.

Option Parts to consider:
XRA301196 T4 Graphite Upper Deck 1.6mm V2
XRA301226 Foam Bumper – Hard - highly recommend

XRA305137 Steel Solid Axle Driveshaft Adapters - HUDY Spring Steel - highly recommend
XRA305242 Composite Drive Shaft Replacement Cap 3.5mm – Orange – Strong (QTY 4)
XRA305351 Aluminum Wheel Hub – Offset “-0.75mm” – Black (QTY 2)

Quick steering question. I currently run my steering link/turnbuckle on the top center hole if the servo saver. What would it change if I moved it down one hole so it was in the middle center hole if the servo saver? Would it make the steering a little smoother maybe?

Slower transit time and less travel, you can get the same effect with the settings on your radio.

I am trying to figure out a good shock package to run for carpet. Really I am trying to find an entire setup to use for a someone that is new to TC. Anyone have any links to something good?
But as far as shocks, what oil weight and springs should I be running. I was looking at this spring set at Reflex.
http://www.reflexracing.net/RSD-Defi...th_p_2545.html
OR THESE
http://www.reflexracing.net/RSD-20mm...16_p_2550.html

Also, what pills should I be using in the hinge pin holders?

We run foam tires if that matters. I am running pink/orange in front and double pink on the rear seems to be the setup majority of ppl run.

I use and recommend the SMC Extreme 7.4v 100C

Has anyone ever tested the T4 2017 with flexible alu chassis on asphalt tracks?
If yes, how was the experience?

Default Achieve more rear traction by changing the suspension arm's bushings

Hi guys

I would need to have more grip at my rear due to low traction track.

May I know whether can I achieve more rear grip by changing my T4 2016 rear suspension arm's bushings to 1 point downwards, instead of the default neutral (i.e. the dot on the bushing is in the center)? I suppose this will make my rear to have more downforce and thus, having more rear grip?

Please advise on whether am I right to say that?

Thank you.

It will increase roll thus give more grip. Downforce is aero...this is mechanical. Raise the camber link on the bulkhead a tick as well for even more roll (dig in).

Lowering the pins will make the car roll more, however I've found it can make the car feel lazy to react on the rear, even with only the 0.5 inserts.

Something to consider instead is try narrowing the pins, so go to 0.5 or 1.0 in on the mounts. This will help to grip the rear end up also, and make the car more consistent.

HiH
Ed
Thanks Jeff and Ed. I was confused after reading some articles on roll center to gain more grip on a low traction track. So if I get you guys correctly, lower center roll gives more grip, and by inserting the alu suspension arm's' bushings pointing DOWN on both front and rear (i.e. making them nearer to my lower deck/chassis) will give me more roll center (more grip). Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thank you.

That's correct. But lowering the roll centre on the pin bushing may also make the car slower to react, which could be worse in quick changes of direction.

Right, so down for grip...in for snappy. Do the diagonally down and in .5 to start.

If it were me, I would go 0.5 in to start, and then try 0.5 down if that still hasn't solved the problem
