How can you do that? Am I missing something?
Body Specifications [USGT]:
Any 190mm or 200mm body. Body can be any body that is NOT on the ROAR T2 body list

You quoted the rules for USGT. The OP is talking about racing in Stock Sedan class (17.5 TC) and using a shell that isn't a GBS sedan shell, like a USGT shell. So if you were to quote any rules, it should be Stock sedan rules.
Anyway, for club racing, most places probably wouldn't care if someone ran a sports car body in 17.5 TC, because it would not likely be an advantage to do that, but it is technically against the rules for the class.
I've run a few practice laps with my Tamiya Subaru BRZ USGT shell on my 17.5 sedan. It really wasn't much slower than a mazdaspeed6. I was surprised how well it handled, especially because it weighs so much more. There's a local guy who races the Protoform Camaro body in stock sedan. Seems to work very well.
PIIHB, ask at your local club if they are okay with you running a GT style shell in sedan. The reason everyone uses similar looking sedan shells is because that is what the rules for the class stipulate must be used. They also handle better than just about anything else.

You may be interested in the "Spec Grand Touring" class from the IIC (Indoor International Championships). We were all running the 17.5 Blinky Tekin RS Spec system.
Most of the cars were running a Protoform Camaro ZL1 body, but there were also a lot of Nissan, Audi, Porsche and Ferrari bodies on the track.

If it is on the ROAR list (legal for 17.5 TC) how can it be a USGT body? What am I missing here?

All this guy was asking is if anyone runs a USGT body in 17.5 TC and if so what and how did it do. It goes without saying this is for club level races only.

The HPI Lexus IS-F body is pretty wild looking yet actually works surprisingly well. Lots of steering.

Forget legality, he doesn't care. He just wants to know if there are any better looking (but not legal) bodies that anyone has tried with success, such as USGT bodies as one example.

The Daytona Prototypes made by McAllister Racing are quite nice, for something different... I have a Riley DP and a Corvette DP, I especially like the latter.
