RSD RR12 12th Scale Pan Car Kit

No the XRAY balls are bigger. There are a few other brands you can use to save some $ though. It basically is the same diameter ball as an XRAY tc shock, so I think ot is like a 5.9mm ball vs 5.0.
I prefer the XRAY links myself. We used them on carpet and on ashalt with great success. The car has a tendency to stay flatter with them, which on our track that has pretty high bite helps prevent traction rolling.

Honestly, we have not even started with it. I still have not had a source for a reasonable rear diff, so have not looked at it.
I will hopefully get on something soon. While we are at it though, what is an F1 racer's wishlist consist of? Which features would you guys want?

These are the balls I used for the XRay links since the XRay balls were out of stock. But it appears I bought the last set of Kyosho balls. You can still use the part number though if you go the cheaper Kyosho route. The balls work great. http://www.amain.com/rc-cars/kyosho-...yofm624/p27430

Cristian, have you done any testing with a 2mm chassie?

Jorge just has one of the original prototype chassis, the profile at the rear is a little different, but no much else.
I have not tested 2.0, however I have been running 2.25 quasi material on my personal cars for a while and actually don't see much difference from the regular 2.5 chassis. Going forward, all cars will be moved over to the 2.25 material which sheds about 10 or so grams if I recall correctly. The World GT is 2.25 quasi as well.
I think the 2.0, even in quasi might be a little too soft for higher bite applications, but we can certainly build one like this if anyone would want it. We keep the material in stock.

I have been using this car for quite a while and I like it a lot. I don't change it much, I just seem to maintain it as it is and I have been very impressed with that aspect. We ran Mod 12th Scale last night and I loved it. I finally broke something on it...the dampening tube, side spring plate. It took a nasty high speed sweeper tumble off the track when the front lifted up into the air. I continued driving it after that but I knew something was wrong and pulled it off after 5-8 laps of fighting it. Other than that, the car was fine. I have been very pleased. Thanks to Cristian for making a sweet car.
