Top 5: 10 scale touring kits?
Greetings to all,
I'm returning to electric on road racing and I'm looking to purchase a kit soon,
I would like some feed back on pros and cons...I want a kit out the
box ready to race without a lot of upgrades and modifications...
I know people have there favorites I welcome all who have great
insight on a particular kit.
Thank you in advance.

My opinion, and cars that will make it to my own radar for next season......
Yokomo BD7 2015
Tamiya TRF419
Xray T4/15
VBC Wildfire07
And for the 5th, one from left field, just cause it looks different and would be an interesting build
WRC STX
Yokomo BD7 2015
Tamiya TRF419
Xray T4/15
VBC Wildfire07

Order is important here.... Who's been winning world championships or had the pace and the engineering to win...... So the list should be:
Yokomo, Tamiya, HB, Associated, Awesomatix.....
The others are not there yet.....

I know it's not the most popular or quickest on the day but the Serpent 411 3.0 has been the easiest car I've ever driven which makes it such an enjoyable drive. It's very consistent. It sometimes lacks a bit of front end but for me I'm quicker with the serpent than the Yok before it as it suits my driving style. It's also one of the best in terms of quality IMHO.

Yokomo, Tamiya, and Xray are great car with strong team of driver, I will rate Xray the highest due to the stronger material while other two are catching up lately. I drove Schumacher on super grip asphalt which is so painful to tune. Which is why I stick with it just to train myself hard on the knowledge of car setting. If we ignore the team support and winning, Schumacher beat the other 3 in terms of quality and material, not to mention the noob prove packing.

How many world titles have Xray, Schumacher, and Serpent won so far???? Why do the Yokomo, and Tamiya have to catchup again???
The Yokomo and Tamiya don't have to answer to nobody so far on the world stage....
Now if you want to hang out with majority of the guys, then get an Xray, etc....
If you want innovation and shaft drive, then go with the Awesomatix.
If you don't want to spend at all, get a tc4...

World titles have nothing to do with the car right now. It was the number of teammembers, their class of driving & wrenching and if the team was there testing before.
In my opinion the T4'15 should be the choice for the normal talented driver. It comes not just with flawless quality and durability, but with an awesome basic setup that will initially make you smile. It also has a very thought through design to make your track life easy while it is one of the fastest cars in clublevel and professional racing.
Nevertheless with enough time and addiction you can make any of the actual TCs a race winner. For me and my experience the T4'15 leads the list with the Yokomo BD7'15 in second place; both closely followed by the rest of the competition.

Does the xray come standard with stuff like floating servo mount, lightweight turnbuckles and DCJs now?
Or are they still options?
As a club car though, yep, I'd agree. They are well supported everywhere, tough as nails and relatively easy to get up to pace with.

You want bang for buck get a VBC dynamics D06. It comes with almost every tuning part you need. All the sway bars, all the springs, ti-nitride pins, multiple toe blocks, DCJ's, graphite AND aluminum chassis. All in one box. Best part is its only $475. Thats over $50 cheaper than the Xray is with none of those options. But hey you get ball bearing swaybars with an xray...
The VBC is pretty durable too after they upgraded their plastics when the D06 was origanally released.
So if you want a good quality car that you can probably get good help with because everyone has them but youll spend an additional $50-100 bucks on, on top of the $550 price tag already, go Xray.
You want a good handling, quality car at a great price that has everything you need, but will be harder to get help with as few have them (numbers are growing) get a VBC.
Or another good quality decent priced kit it the associated 6.2. Handles good, great parts support, and a ton of people have them.
