what's the matter with American racing?

Also want to point out that in the last four years, Americans have won 6 IFMAR titles. Plus one Canadian. That's a pretty darn good showing of you ask me despite the complete lack of Americans in this Worlds. Also let's not forget that while Reinhard is not American, his car was built in freaking New York baby!

Far too much class dilution. How many races in Europe/Asia have 10+ classes at a big race? When you have so many classes to choose from and you want to try something new odds are you'll pick another spec type class over Modified.
Tracks and racers are another problem. Instead of working together for the greater good of the hobby when a certain group doesn't like what is going on they break off and try and start something on their own or something of that sort.

Because you don't like to eat you carrots and vegetables like the Europeans and Asians. Hahaha... Quit eating Mc Donalds is no good for your eyes.

Read liverc about China getting the 2016 worlds. Because other countries will spend $15 MILLION dollars on an RC facility. We have facilities that can barely pay the bills. It is truly a hobby in the States while other countries treat it as a profession. That is my $.02.

I was expecting to get flamed but It's a relief to hear someone agree. The guy (PL) that runs the most open mod is our sole flag bearer. Everyone is coming up in 17.5 on carpet when we have paved tracks that can run 8th scale but no one will show up for open mod.
I don't get it.

Its quite sad really. what's more, any talk of some sort of "battlefield promotion", even at the club level is met with wailing and gnashing of teeth.
