Thanks for the replies guys. Just ordered two of them.

Simple - Are you still using this bumper now and if so how well has it done in terms of keeping the shell from cracking/ripping?

I haven't put this body through "the challenge" yet, but from experience I can tell you it will do its job far better than nothing.

Bringing up an old post, but after pretty much beating the heck out of a new C8 body this weekend (yeah I'm a terrible driver) I was wondering if anyone had run foam up front to support the bodies of these cars and came across this. Do you happen to have a part number for the Tamiya bumper?

Genesis RC in Wisconsin has a few good GT12 bumpers in their online store.

Has anyone found some bodies fitting better then others. I just mounted the Bittydesign Agata and at 171mm the tires are right up against the fender edge. Is this what others are finding?

yes. Mounted a few bodies on my dads GT12
and his tears are right flush to the fenders in the rear.

BittyDesign designs their GT12 bodies based on BRCA specs which has a rear track width of 165mm. I mounted a BittyDesign Seven20 on YRX12'19 which has a track width of 172mm and the wheels stick out a little. BittyDesigns should probably make a US Spec version of 172mm. I looked up if the US GT12 specs have a track width requirement, but I couldn't find anything so I'm assuming it's 172mm based on ROAR rules. Link to my IG pics of the Seven20 body -

Hi,
Anyone knows of any 1/12 GT bodyshell which can fit the Yokomo GT 300/500 chassis, which has a wheelbase of 234mm? I noticed most of the current GT12 chassis has a much shorter wheelbase.
Thanks.

First run on the car and it went better then I was expecting. Very easy to drive other then it wanted to kick the back out on tight 180* turns.
Any advice on first things to change.
Thanks

Hey guys I'm new to the 12gt class. I bought a Schumacher atom 2. I was wondering what I should gear it to. We run 21.5 motors on 1s. any help would be awesome.

I race GT12 rubber tire class at Apex raceway in TN and found with my Hobbywing V10 21.5 a rollout of 84.6 to 86.43 works well. Tire Dia. 41mm 47t pinion 70t spur.
spur gear x tire dia. x 3.14 / pinion gear

A couple of bodies that work with 172 width are the Montec Akura and the PF C8.

The mon-tech Akura is the body I have and it just fits . If your body holes are off a bit then the tires will overhang.

That is correct, front or rear.
