3) I don't know about the red/orange o rings, I have never used them.

edit:
Can anyone explaint o me the love for the red o rings? Why not use these:

Aren't these blue O rings the TRF419X's stock O rings that create the oil leak issue in my dampers?

No, the ones that cause the oil leak are these:

Hi,

So the tamiya TRF blue competition O-Rings (P3 size) are better than the clear O rings in terms of preventing oil leak and durability? From the description in RC Mart of this product, it requires additional shims (Tamiya #53586) for clearance. Is it really necessary to get the shims if I were to use this blue competition O rings instead of the clear O rings?

Thanks.

Will the front belt from any other tc fit my 419?

Just seen mine has torn and I need one for tonight but nobody else near me runs a 419.

Will yokomo bd7 belt fit?

I have just noticed that the bd7 belt is 172 teeth. Tamiya is 171. Is this a big enough difference to mess up front and rear wheel speeds?

It does not mess up your your front and rear speed.
It stays the same.
That only changes when you alter the number of teeth front or rear from your pulleys.
You just need to see if the bd7 belt can be set tight enough.

You were in fact correct. I thought it was the xrings because I've had leaking issues with the xrings.

If you are looking for some spares for you're 419 or 419x (at least the axles and couplings for the 419x) I've got some DCJ's up for sale.

I use X-rings with 4mm shims. No leaking and super smooth.

It probably had something to do with the application of green slime which I didn't apply in the first place.

Nonetheless thanks everyone!

Default TRF419X damper's overall length

Hi guys

May I know what is the overall length that you built for these TRF419X's Super Short Big Bore ("SSBB") shocks, when piston is fully pulled out, with the caps and everything on, except the spring?

I didn't managed to find a good answer on the Internet and it isn't indicate in the assemble manual too.

Thank you.
