I have never purchased Jacos deliberately, but the green sticker foams that came with my L2 kit appear to be Jacos... If that is true, the Jacos are narrower then the BSRs. I'll compare measurements of offset and width tonight when I get the chance. But from what I remember the Jacos are the same width as the BSRs from the outside of the wheel to the center hole, and they are narrower from the center hole to the inside of the wheel. Which would mean the BSRs wouldn't fit on a rear pod width designed for Jacos, hence the 6mm narrowing of the rear pod to fit BSRs. I'll confirm all of this tonight with measurements and pics...

I can't find Jaco foams as a company, but I do see them for sale (mostly out of stock for the carpet compounds).

I think it's just where the backspacing ends. If you use Jacos, you'll have to add shims to get it back out to 235mm. The car would have been at 241mm with BSRs on the original pod without narrowing. 3mm too wide on each side. You'd have had to manually narrow the rim and tire from the outside edge using a lathe without the pod redesign. Much easier to shim out hub spacing once than narrow down every set of rims!

I've run BSR in the past with no issues on my WGT and pan F1. With the lighter weight of these cars running shorty lipos, I'm hoping tire wear will decrease drastically for the class.

John is correct about the extra 3mm on the outside of the BSR wheels. I measured the offset of a BSR and a Jaco, they are the same at 13mm. I included pics, the BSR is on the left and the Jaco on the right in all pictures. You can see the width difference in the picture with the straight edge. Other notes, the Jaco is taller, and the BSR has more girth on the center and bolt holes. I know now that Jaco won't be much issue considering they are not produced in 1/10 pan anymore, but I though I would post the pics just in case someone came across some...

Nice pics of the tire differences.
I got impatient, built the axle and mounted a set of tires to adjust the diff a bit. Now I know I'm out of rear axle shims, or put them in the wrong kit. I had enough regular and flange bearings for the height adjusters and diff. I had a Kimbrough 48P 75 laying around. It should give me a good starting point for testing indoor. I have some 78 spurs on the way.

Nah, I put that in a ziplock for later. So, I worked on the SP-1 and the TLR 22B this afternoon. I have my body cut and ready to lay down some masking tonight though. I need to find some side air damn material to match the couple of pics I've seen of the finished body.

I think trying to get Pro10 up and stable again is going to be a challenge. Getting all the famous/infamous racers together and racing would be good for everyone too see. I think the first big step is to get the class back on event schedules for all the major US events, especially outdoor. Getting a 2S lipo class in pan car onroad is way past due. Lighter weight cars should and has made it easier on tires, and this car will be light. WGT tires last if you treat them well.

Have any livery decals planned?
I agree Pro10 does look like it will be a bit of a struggle. I'll just be happy if we can even get a small group together locally that run on a regular basis. Then maybe if people like what they see they'll join in and it will hopefully grow from there, at least on a local level. I also agree that the major US events are the first big step. Especially considering that would mean there would have to be set rules for the class. Hopefully the European rules would be considered, since for me the openness of the European Pro10 rules is what makes the class attractive. With tire wear it will be pricier to run, but I think the racing enthusiast types won't mind considering the realism the class will provide... you know throttle hard, brake hard, turn hard, maybe touch full throttle once a lap, like a real race car... just my opinion as a newbie rc racer and a life long 1:1 scale racing enthusiast. Sorry to be long winded lol. I'm glad to see the Roadkill 10 doing its part nicely in the revival of Pro10! That chassis should be able to get that wicked brushless power to the ground really well!
@trackdesigner71, Are you thinking of putting together such an event? and if so where? I think it would be alot of fun if not to far away.
