Default cold weather tires

hi,

leading into winter in the southern hemisphere and was interested in what was considered a solid performing and well wearing cold weather tire.

We run at night. I run 13.5T blinky. Usually run Sorex's 28's but can get away with 32's at this time of year. The Sorex are good tires but I find the cost and wear a little high. I've been running Muchmore 36 Rush during summer and get get over 20 runs in 13.5T with great performance so looking for a winter tire that will do the same for me.

I was looking at consider Solaris or team Powers, but wanted some feedback.

Thank you

In the UK we also race in the cold weather, and Sorex is the preferred tyre. Sometimes as soft as a Sorex-20 when the temps get down below zero!

If you can find any the TakeOff CS22 is also very good and has better wear than the Sorex.

Lucky enough it doesn't that that cold in Brisbane Australia, we might get track temps at night in the peak of winter around say 10-15 degrees Celsius.

Anyone had any experience with the Solaris?

Default re tyres

we run at night in sydney SMA and a lot of us still used Rush 36 last winter.
you need to run warmers obviously but found they worked if temps where good at run start.
Last week ambient was 13 deg C and after 4-5 laps with no warmers they came good.

If you can get a hold of take off 22's. You'll be very happy

Yes, I was surprised how well they went early. I did find as the night got cooler that one race I felt like I was driving on ice from start to finish. Maybe I overcooked them heating them to 50 degrees before the start.

I didn't try them without warmers but will try that another time.
