I have a TC3 that I just started really trying to race with and I've noticed that the car tracks straight unless I get on the throttle. It seems to severe torque steer to the left. Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a way to correct it? I'm still able to race with it but it does make it a little difficult at the start and coming out of corners.

BTW the servo I'm using is temporary and is the Traxxas 2075 (125oz) servo.

Diff up front and rear. Different motors have been tried but now I'm running Tekin 17.5t.

The TC3 was known to have torque steer issues.

Only with brushed motors. Brushless turn way less rpms but make torque, which explains how we got to gear them in the 3.8 or so for 17.5 to run.

Also, the droop needs to be exactly the same l/r.

Make sure the car doesnt have different droop amounts on each wishbone, same goes for camber etc.

Once the car is all straight n true then start to look at your diffs.

Are they to loose if ball diff or not thick enough oil if gear diff

Also not sure how strong 125oz is in kgs but a weak servo wont help either

We used to set rear droop differently right and left to correct this issue. you will have to play with it.


like 1m droop difference.

Anything above 90 oz of torque should be fine for a touring car. As long as it's fast.
