With only a small handfull of new parts on the 2016 a conversion kit sure would be nice.

Do you think it's necessary to change that part?
It looks almost the same as the original 2015 version.
I'm planning to upgrade my car, and that carbon part seems to be unnecessary, just a little dremel work on the rear side if it needs it.

Screw hole (or whatever it is) on the rear is also differently located, if I'm not mistaken...

The new part cut is to allow manipulation of the forward servo post screw when the servo is mounted on the new servo plate. The hole geometry is absolutely the same as the original. As you say a little dremel work would do the trick.

These are technological holes. When the machine cuts you need to hold the exact position of the cut piece. The small holes have no other function and their position is dictated by the cutting technology.

Just noting that X1's pretty much dominated the Australian national titles over the weekend, with all drivers agreeing that they are a very good car to drive.
Mine did well, qualifying 4th and I was very happy with overall result.
The one question I have is that towards the end of the meet (probably because I was driving a bit harder), I noticed the inside front right wheel lifting through a fast right handed sweeper. Setup is almost entirely kit, except I have the steering links forward. Any suggestions?
Phil.
PS: It's dodgy video, but here's the A1 run. Had a lot of fun dicing with another racer - their car was much quicker down the straight (I ran out of pinion ), but I could catch them in the infield

I thought they were something like that, but no use to the drivers etc once the car is being built/used
