A knowledgeable friend of mine who did some testing on equipment he had at work, said AE and Losi have more natural pack to them, and are thus good for asphalt. But muchmore is more linear with closer more consistent spacing between weights, and is better for carpet. He said there's a couple others that are actually a bit better, but he runs muchmore because it's easy to get.

the t4-14 is a better all round car as it works well in all conditions, the bd7 appears to only go well on med to high grip,a few have tried to run the bd7 in the winter champs and failed and changed brand,at the last meeting a very good stock driver with a bd7 was beaten by a t4 13 and a t4 14
it was around 8c track about 6 started damp and dried out,at my local track the bd7 only does well in the summer

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. It's absolutely required. I had trouble sourcing the brace, and thought I'd be okay without it for a couple days... One head on hit to something with my t4'14, that wasn't that hard, and it split the front of my chassis. >_< It was repairable with CA, but wouldn't have happened with the brace.

Also when fitting the brace I shimmed it up by 2mm after mine took a wack and it popped under the bulk head causing the screws to pull through the chassis. The other thing to do is run the older bumpers off a t2/3
