From what I have been reading it seems there is nothing but praise about the car, and folks here are willing to share information, experience & knowledge which is always a good thing for both the car & drivers.
Another plus is that I am also a short drive away from a Speed Passion retailer, thus some spare parts can be sourced quickly if needed, including some of the hop ups mentioned.

Got the car and some of the upgrades that are in stock in my shopping cart, and finger is hovering over the buy button, but waiting to see how evochick's car goes on the weekend as we both race at the same club.

One question I do have is, does the Street Jam have a similar motor mount to the Speed Passion SP-1? and would the "540 motor mount" Speed Passion option part fit?
I ask this because we race F1 with 21.5 motors, and getting the right gearing with some brands of motors is not achievable without going to 64 pitch, which is something I don't want to do if I can avoid it.

Cheers
Rob.
Why would you not want to run 64 pitch?

Because some of the tracks I race on are outdoor, and can get a bit dusty, along with having small stones on the surface, and that I have got an extensive range of 48 pitch spur & pinion gears.

My budget, whilst reasonable can cover the cost of the car, and the options listed, wouldn't be able to cover a range of new spur & pinion gears.

Cheers
Rob.

The SP1 motor mount (and the option 540 brushed mount) will not work because the SJF01 has a lower mounting point for the shocks.

Where can you buy this car online? I have seen a few China/Japan sites but look sketchy.

Rob i can just fit a 66t spur and 30t pinion. I normally have been running a 29t at castle hill and illawarra with the 104 tyres on Orca power.

rc-art in japan is very reliable

Beth, thanks for that. I normally run a roll out of 92.45 using 67 & 34 running F103 wheels at castle hill.
I can get to within just around 1 mm of that using 65 & 30 gears so that should be fine, I better go and order some new spur gears.

So had my first run with the new car and it couldn't have gone any better, I am sure I set a new F1 track record for that track !!! It was certainly a PB from me by about 10 seconds.

It was super dialled from the word go, using pretty much Hara's original setup is pretty close to perfect, its getting a good amount of steering and I am carrying lots of corner speed in middle and exit.

two thumbs up from me...

My setup for the day attached, now lets get some more StreetJams down under!!!!!

Did you have tested the 2 different positions of the servo (standard and flat with direct servo saver) ?
did you feel some difference ?

Just buy some RC-art, we had a few locals here order from them with no issues. Integy is asking waaaay too much for the kit.
