Ride height: 4mm

Center Shock: vbc (dimple drilled out. 60-70wt/silver spring) or HB (35wt/AE blue spring)....don't be afraid to go even a bit higher in wt w/the vbc shock.
Shock mount: upper position
Pod Droop (no sag): 1mm over RH
Side Springs/preload: vbc silver or AE black (just touching, then go 1 full turn)
Tube lube: 15k (I'm using Shurlube Green)
Width: 172mm
Tyres: CRC/BSR Gray/Whites (43mm/rounded) Jaco Yellow (43mm/ rounded)

I think that's it. HTHs
And if your racing budget allows, you can go slightly smaller on the tyre size.
Also to get more life outta your front .018's, you can use .018's from AE's 10R5.1 (just use less shims up top)

Thanks mark that's what I was looking for. You rock man. wish you were on the east coast my friend. I will eventually make it out to your track.. Now let's get Dave or someone to put up some setup sheets.. At this point in my area I know of 2 lightnings and I have 1 of them. We need some support out here. Blake has the other one and he is a 1/12 guy. I'm a shockless tc guy.
I just ordered some of these from lunsfordracing.com to put in my car.
camber turnbuckles
3 x 16mm Titanium Turnbuckles
Code: 1001
Price: $11.50
steering linkages
1 5/8" Punisher Plus Titanium Turnbuckles
Code: 1066
Price: $13.45

I've built 2 of these shocks with the dimple drilled out. 1 with 3 hole piston and the other with the 2-hole. When you fill the shock, you may have oil sitting atop the last white plastic 'hat' piece. Remove all of it. That's what you see coming out of the thru hole. I've had no leakage after I've figured that out. Also I like the idea of soaking those orings as long as you can before assembling then coating the top one heavily with green slime ( as Korey Harbke suggested).

I sure hope so. I know how it is on the awesomatix side people want setups quickly. especially at first because not many were running the car. The lightning isnt being run locally either. I purchased one after picking up a Flash. If you can get Dave to post it up that would be great. In my part of town most people run 17.5. Lot's of fast dudes running Top Rebel 12's and i wanted to go against the grain.
