Hey,
got mine last week and start building yesterday. Car is really nice to build, but got some problems with the lower suspension arms.
Main problem, when i measure from the top of the lower suspension arm on the left side to the ground, it is about 14mm, but if i measure on the right side it's only 12,5mm.
I think the problem appears because they're using one lower arm for both sides?!
Anyone got the same problem?

You shouldn't be oil-less.
I've built 2 of these shocks with the dimple drilled out. 1 with 3 hole piston and the other with the 2-hole. When you fill the shock, you may have oil sitting atop the last white plastic 'hat' piece. Remove all of it. That's what you see coming out of the thru hole. I've had no leakage after I've figured that out. Also I like the idea of soaking those orings as long as you can before assembling then coating the top one heavily with green slime ( as Korey Harbke suggested).

Yeah, o-rings were soaked for a day, didn't use green slime but I'll pick some up.

While watching the blowout that our Seahawks put on the Saints, I've rebuilt both vbc shocks (2/3-hole pistons) like 4 times with different shock oils and to be truthful, this shock builds up REALLY nice. Maybe a tic below the AE (I really like that shock) but my HB from over 3 years ago is still tops. It still feels like fresh churned butta! Lol...seriously
But this VBC shock builds up and feels really, really good. Good idea on the set screw.

The AMR is (in my opinion) the best all-around choice for all classes, and pretty much the only choice for mod 12th. The TR is a higher downforce body than the AMR, so it will be better in lower traction (so perhaps a good choice if you run on low traction asphalt.) The TR has less steering than the AMR though, so most people have kept using the AMR to retain steering. The BA audi r8 has less downforce than even the AMR, so it is a slightly more aggressive feeling body that is good for stock (and super-stock.) If you look in the a mains for stock at any big race you will see a lot of BA r8 bodies, but everything else is pretty much dominated by AMR.

At the same time, please send an email to [email protected] describing what you are seeing and she will help you get replacement parts. You can also try sanding down the VBC arms, but it is likely easier to just use AE for now and talk to Annie about getting replacements.

I will order some V2 arms and pivotballs, but main problem is they're actually sold out in Germany
, so i try to get them suitable.

My partially assembled car has the very same issue. When the chassis plate with complete front end fitted is placed on a setup board, the measurement from the bottom of the right front axle to the board's surface is 16.1mm. Amazingly the left side measures just 14.5 mm. That is a pretty huge difference. Even with the naked eye, it is easy enough to see that the left lower arm is pointing down slightly, while the right arm points slightly up. Obviously this much imbalance will spoil the handling. I'm hopeful that VBC will make arrangements to hustle corrected front arms to those early adopter customers who's kits came with such mismatched front lower arms.

When I ordered my Lightning, I also ordered a spare pair of lower arms (a-02-vbc-5067). I just removed the ones that came with the kit and replaced them with the new replacement spares. Thankfully now the front axle heights measure exactly the same on both sides, just as it should be. So apparently not all of the front arms are bad. Since a couple of us on the thread have experienced this issue, the side to side front axle height is something to be sure and check as you are building the car.....to make sure that you've got a good matching pair of front lower arms fitted.
