The tuning options on the front end of the Lightning 12 are far superior to the AE. Laser cut carbon shims for shimming lower arm width, upper arm length, and ride height. A lot easier and more precise. Having the option to run the side springs inboard on the pod or outboard on the link is another great tuning option especially if you run modified and spec classes. The rear pods being supported by a 5mm carbon brace across the back protects it from side hits and prevents motor plates from bending. I took some hard hits in vegas and I didn't break/bend anything on the car.The price isnt too bad either!
I will post my setups if anyone is interested

Would you or someone be willing to spend some time discussing why to use the inboard or outboard side springs and how they can be used as a tuning aid for particular driving styles?
There is some limited information out there - Front caster is adjustable or fixed?
Does the manual have tuning details on what different settings do for this car?

Side spring location has been something me and Ehrlich have been doing a lot of testing for. When the side spring is moved to a more inboard location (on the Pod closer to the center pivot) it requires a stiffer spring. Since you are moving the leverage point inboard it takes more force to stop the pod from pivoting. This is better for spec since you need more steering and a more "twitchy" feeling car. When you move the springs outboard (on top of the link further away from the center pivot) the force required to stop the pod is less. Therefore you can run a softer spring making the car slower off center and easier to drive. Ehrlich and I both prefer this for Modified. It calms the car down just enough. For tuning aids for different types of driving styles I'm not sure how this will help. I think that outboard springs are defiantly the best for Mod since the calm the car down and make it smoother. If you want your car to steer and be aggressive enough for spec racing I would lean you towards running inboard springs. But thats just my personal preference.
Front caster is adjustable just like the Associated front end. One hole in the rear of the caster block allows the block to pivot to 3 different caster locations, 0, 5, and 10 degree. Then you also have the upper arm shims to finely tune the caster.
Im not sure about the manual having tuning aids. You can just ask on here and any of the VBC factory drivers would be happy to answer your questions!
