Email Bruce and ask him if you can get that chassis.

just replace the turn buckles that are included in the kit with Lunsford titanium and it'll be dang close to bullet proof. that's all I've done and I race with 2x4 barriers and haven't broken any front end parts. no slop either, I just ordered the parts to update my rev8 to 8.5.

It was mentioned in the Speedmerchant news as well...
"The new Rev 8.5 and RoadKill 10 Carpet, and the 8.5i variant Chassis/Bottom Plate"
I'm just hoping the "i" version is real thing and not just a factory team special.
Yes you can get it. Email Bruce.

We have tried a few minor tweaks over the past couple years and the current inline kit I have been running is stellar. Bruce has built a couple for some of my local drivers so it should not be a problem to get one in short order. Let me know if you have any questions on setup. Andrew Mowery

I don't get to race often, when I do it's on asphalt. Sometimes a long flowing track, sometimes at a much shorter, technical track. I run a REV 8.5 with a new school front end that I'm pretty happy with. What does changing to an Associated style pivoting front do for the handling? We have low to medium drip and when I have a problem, it's getting off the corner under power. Would changing help or hurt that?

If you're going to try the I set up, does it make any difference if the battery contacts are in the front by the servo or in the back by the motor? I know one end of the battery is heavier, but is it enough to alter the handling of the car?

Try this one, but I haven't used it since 2020 when our track closed.
