Thats a great price for the 418.

Not much exciting to report here other than I ran the 418 with the new Exzes Z last night, other than the inevitable first couple of races sorting the Dual rate and expo, I managed to top the time sheet again by over a complete lap, and posted a fastest lap time 0.2 sec faster than anyone.

The car is working so well for me in 17.5 carpet, just have a big smile on my face every week racing it.

:) Yep the extra response time helps.

The set-up is similar to this.
http://www.thercracer.com/2014/04/tr...et-set-up.html

Although I have messed a little with the roll centre (I now use the new C hubs for double cardan)

http://www.thercracer.com/2014/05/ta...orced-hub.html

I will check over the weekend and post the update. The thing is just adding a 0.5mm shim makes a difference that is noticable on the set-up so depending on the track layout I sometimes adjust roll centres by this much (Inner bulkhead shim)

By new c hub do you mean the 6 degree
Ones or is there new 4 degree ones for
The DCJ ?

4 is available as well..... 54580

I'm going to try the 6deg ones tomorrow.

Track is relatively low grip and quite open. 4 full throttle mid-high speed corners, only one hairpin.

Get to try my 418 for first time tomorrow in Sydney here. Looking forward to it. Has anyone tried the Green Schu springs as Ed posted earlier?

I use the 4 degree ones (they are reviewed in the link) but I swap to the 6 degree ones if I need more mid to exit corner steering. Sometimes I put some anti dive with the 6 degree ones if I lose too much front steering.

For more mid corner steering a gear diff with 2.5k oil in front will help.

How do you put anti squat on the front?!

Or is that anti dive you're talking about?

anti dive on the front = put 0.50 or 1.0mm shims under front rear block (towards rear of car)

Towers price went back up to $750 lol. They can't make up their minds

I cannot use anything like that in my car as I would loose the bite out of the corner that the spool gives me. Our track is tight and if we have a sweeper leading onto the straight I would have no chance against the guys with 13.5's. the spool helps me keep close and then I can overtake them on the infield as I carry more corner speed.

Btw, I will use less than 0.5mm shims for anti dive sometimes 0.3mm (3x0.1 shims).
