Just sat building my evo, I have a problem. looking from the back of the car the A arms on the left both front and back are binding on the crash post's. Is it just a case of getting the file out or have I done some thing wrong??.

Did you assemble the inserts properly in the arms with the 1 dink and 2 dink pivots in there correct spots? Also on the mi5 if you over tighten the pivots the arm would bind on the bulkheads so loosen the pivots and redo them but use the wrench more than the hex driver when tightening them.

Also check that the crash tubes have their flat sides against the wishbones

`Yep done both of the suggestions. Got a email of to schui, they say file a bit of carbon fibre of the a-arm and it should be fine

Right people time to eat humble pie But if it helps others hay ho. After the reply's I got. Had yet another look at the manual regarding the pip thing. What I had done is put 4 x 2 pip in the rear and 4 x 1 pip in the fount. Less speed more haste. Or fully read the manual. But in my defence this is the first car I have built that is not the same left to right.

Mi5 Stuff - Body / DCJs
Guys,
I bought an Mi5 a while back and had this body painted for it ($75). I mounted it on the car, then decided to sell the car before I ran it. Its brand new LTC-R body. I also have a brand new in package set of Schumacher brand DCJs ($45) for this car I dont need anymore either... or both for $110. I wouldn't normally post this stuff on the Mi5 thread, but these items are specific to this car and thought one of you might need or want it.
call or text me if you have interest 713.397.5545 -- Justin

besides being sure you followed the manual's instruction correctly on how to use the wrench to tighten the ball up--it can also be caused by too many crashes causing the ball to bind to the plastic it sits in--a drop of oil on the ball can cure this type of bind.

Quick question for those of you building the mi5evo, how much does it weigh empty, out of the box ? By empty I mean: complete without wheels, electronics, or body.
Thanks !
Thanks !
