I think the Serpent and AE gears work. I haven't tried many others as I bought extra Durango gears awhile ago.

I have used panaracer spurs on mine in the past. They can be found on ebay for $6 or less. There are also a few sellers with the original spurs for sale on there too. I assume they bought the kits to sell for parts when I bought two more of them late 2018, ebay blowout. Still have one that has been a designated shelf queen from the beginning.

Yup... Same diff. The main changes from V1 to V2 were some minor tweaks on some parts, tighter ball cups and stiffer suspension pieces. All were refinements, not a redesign.

I was toying around with this idea as well but then decided to just buy an MTC2 instead. I may still do it for fun as I have a ton of parts and an extra un-built V2 kit. I already run low profile shock towers and a redesigned top deck but I may build around a 1 piece motor mount like the newer cars and go from there as long as the diff and spool line up correctly with the drive pulleys.
