Carbon damper stay II alloy collar top hat thingamies

Hello all , lost one of the alloy top hat collar thingamybobs that holds in the upper arms on , do any of you good folks know if such things are available as spares ?
be a shame to have to get another full tower set for one small part 😕
Thankyou for any assistance 😊

Hope this is the right place for this question. Just bought a TT02R. Im up to installing alloy steering from Yeah Racing. Problem is I have tightened the turnbuckles all the way and the steering still has a load of toe in. Is the issue with the alloy steering? Or could it be the alloy front knuckle? I have attached them to the end hole on the front knuckle.

Only issue there should be with the YR alloy steering set should be the slop. Perhaps try either shorter turnbuckles or shorter turnbuckle ends?

The shock tower piece or the one opposite?
Here's a set of two aluminum upper arm mounts opposite the shock tower.

Please refer to step 27 in the Tamiya TT-02 R instructions (found on page 13 of the manual). You will need to remove 2mm of material from the 5mm adjuster (plastic ball cup) which is listed as part <MB11>. If you do NOT remove this excess material, you will NOT be able to adjust the turnbuckle to the length of 38mm. Step 27 in the manual shows the length of the turnbuckle in 1:1 size, so you can use that for comparison if you don't have access to calipers or a ruler with millimetre measurments.

If you have purchased your kit used, you can download a new manual directly from Tamiya from the following website...
https://www.tamiya.com/english/rc/manuals.htm

If you decide to print off your manual, differences in printer settings may affect the printed result causing the "1:1" images in the manual to be the incorrect size.

Hope this information helps.

----------
I have run across several Tamiya R/C kits that require you to modify the "ball cups". However Tamiya manuals are very detailed and will always have exact measurement of the metal rod and total length of the turnbuckle when assembled.

Hopefully you saved the instruction manual that came with your shock tower upgrade. Sometimes the little manual will include specific part numbers for the individual parts. If not, you probably should contact TamiyaUSA directly and they may be able to assist you with getting a replacement part. Here is a link (including a phone number)
https://www.tamiyausa.com/contact/

----------

Please note that there were several different upgraded shock towers available for the TT-02 (including aftermarket companies). If you just are looking for a carbon fiber shock tower upgrade for the basic TT-02, you would want to buy Tamiya 54947.
https://www.tamiyausa.com/shop/optio...amper-stay-ii/

Tamiya 54947 is designed to work with the Tamiya 54874 adjustable upper a-arms.

----------

Tamiya has discontinued the original carbon fiber upgrade towers which were...
#54639 Front (https://www.tamiyausa.com/shop/optio...-stay-front-2/)
#54640 Rear (https://www.tamiyausa.com/shop/optio...r-stay-rear-2/)

A parts tree is 51527. If you need A-2 I have a spare I could send you. If it's A-6 or A-10 I don't have spares of those, but you could use a properly sized washer for A-10, also for A-6 with some trimming.

Got my red wheel nuts and Traxxas drift wheels in today. Getting that much closer to completion. Need to get it on some P-tile and dial it in.

Seriously best advice I every had, thank you so much! I always assumed I knew what I was doing and just skimmed the pages. Especially since I have so many hop ups, and end up using those instead of stock parts.

Now I just wished I bought a better alloy steering assembly. The Yeah Racing has loads of slop.

You can file down a little material off the top of the sleeves that go over the screws and inside the bearings to remove some of the slop. Unfortunately it wont remove all of it. I also used a lil drop of superglue to lock the bearings into the steering bridge. Gotta be careful not to use too much or you'll glue the bearing and lock it up.
