Actually that’s what I thought and was mistaken.

the RR gear diff case and gear are actually from the TG10 Mk.2 nitro car, and so is the gasket and internals. Not sure which kit they sourced the diff outdrives and have not found a part number for it.

At present, you can buy the diff case fear and gasket. The internals are listed as discontinued in TG10 mk2 part list. But in sure you can use ones from another kit. Outdrives would be trial and error again.

kit should be available someone in January.

Does anyone have a setup for a tt02r for vta. Been working on 1 and have it pretty good but I know I can squeeze out a lil more. Also gearing would be great.

Are you running on carpet or asphalt? FDR you probably need to be around 3.6 / 3.7

The new TT02RR gear diffs only come with 2 gears when most other TC cars run 4 gears in their diffs. So I purchased Part # 51144 so I can have some tunability. I am also curious about the durability of the new camber links since replacements are not released yet.

Default Looking to get a tt02

Found a local track racing these in stock form on a very small track. I think you can only install aluminum horn, bearings, lipo, and any servo and radio you want. Not sure about the spur and pinion. Never raced on road, only off road. Anyone have any suggestions what I might need to do to help me get this car around the track, besides practice. What spare parts should I get?

If you’re not allowed oil shocks then the only real weak point you need to get spares for is the front steering knuckles. The rest of the car is essentially bulletproof. I regularly jump mine off BMX ramps and it’s got a 10.5 brushless motor in it and so far it refuses to die. If you’re allowed to run race tyres get good ones. That’s what you’ll benefit from the most.

Rear knuckles are what our club found as the weak point. We allow alloy rear knuckles, providing they're 0deg.

I'd shim the end-play out of the drive cups for the dogbones in the front, so that they're less likely to pop out on impact and disappear.

Spur and pinion would be what's in the box, stock.

Which version to get for TCS novice class on black carpet this year. My local is actually hosting one round of the TCS and I will run novice. I was thinking of base kit and adding parts but the new RR is tempting, but when you add the body, parts you'd probably want to change anyways, not sure. I was thinking the S as well but it's unique suspension has me worried. I am leaning towards the R, I get to the track rarely and more adjustment and set up options the S provides are not always better for a guy like me.

I have raced Euro Truck and usually bring up the rear on black carpet and I also have some experience with TT02 in a parking lot series on Asphalt which I was a mid packer at least.

I have no idea just how "novice" this class will be though come March, original question though, which one? I thought about dusting off the TT02 car I used on the asphalt but it's pretty beat up and a mix up of parts at this point and not sure it would meet strict TCS rules.

Parts wise I have TRF dampers already and a high speed gear set in my tool box.

read the pdf version of the rules it has the recommended hop ups needed. The s version is not allowed in the spec class. The r or rr is a good way to go, getting a base kit with motor, body, and esc is good with getting some of the minimally needed hop-ups

I am reading rules here and it seems to say TT02S is allowed? You guys stocking the R or RR by chance? I have enough ESC's and motors.
